abandon these cities altogether to let them fail. That cannot be allowed to happen to any of our cities, and especially not Washington. The District of Columbia had from its founding until the civil rights and Home Rule push in the early 70s been administered by the Federal government, and should be still today. What this author describes is a repeat of the riots of 1968 that decimated a large part of nort-central DC (and that took two decades to recover)to the 10th power, due to professional outside agitation and social media.
I also believe not only in term limits for -Congress, but also that former Presidents should not have a residence or office within 150 miles of DC for 12 years after serving.

These mega-cities aren't worth saving. If the GOP actually tried to be competitive in these cities, it might be a different story. But the GOP is a weak and ineffective party thanks to the RINOs, so these cities are destined to fail. And I'm fine with that.
