Whoa! I didn’t know the roots produce beans too! I only tried the one year and it was a bit of a bust. The three things that did great were the beans, watermelons (40-pounders), and cantaloupes (12 to 14 pounders). I planted corn, tomatoes, sweet peas, and potatoes, too, but they didn’t fare well. We had a VERY wet summer that year and it was too much for them I reckon.
The area where the garden was was allowed to grow over with grass again and since Hubby keeps it mowed, any beans that tried to grow from the roots didn’t stand a chance.

I worked the track long enough to know how to pick the winner, the trifecta and piniella is the tricky bit. And I learned not to really like horses, thoughghthe racing was fun, shoveling **** and their attitudes is a bit much for me.
Bring me bourbon and a cigar, I’ll through a couple twentysomething down.

I’m ready for some actual auturmn. We might get a cool day next Wednesday. 61 for a high. I think I’ll enjoy.Then the next day we’re going to WY for a week and it’s in the 30s there at night now.
I don’t blame you for not wanting to get out during the heat of the day. Heat stroke is a real thing!

Sorry to hear it isn’t cooling off there tonight. That’s a drag. It’s cooling off fairly well here but the air’s still a little damp. By morning it’s supposed to be pretty dry and will stay that way a few days.
Jobu will enjoy it because he’s outside all the time.

The Baboons is nothing when it comes to crazy names. LOL! When I lived in Raleigh eons ago, there was a band that was really good but when I first heard of them I was leery of going out to hear them. The name was The Screaming Iguanas of Love.
