John Bolton, of all people who probably would have included the story in his book if it had happened, never mentioned it when talking about the visit to France, and the reason the trip to the cemetery was cancelled.
Which would certainly prove he was once a Democrat.
That’s why now the shift to it being about Vietnam.
I just heard her. She didnt say that. Specifically they didnt confirm the most salacious things said about veterans.
Unnamed source = fabricated out of whole cloth.

Exactly and you would think that people here would know this by now. How many of these unnamed sources stories have turned out to be total BS? Someone just happens to say this 2 years later right before the election? Give me a break. The left are lying demons.
Thank you! I just posted the same. I literally just listened to Griffin. She did not confirm! #FakeNews

Vietnam was a wet dream of the "conservative" progressives ... now known as neocons ... and of course was started by two RATS, JFK and especially one of our most corrupt Presidents, LBJ.
The "Progressive" rationale for the Vietnam War (and others) was to promote American "Values" BY FORCE, and make a bundle in the process.
Even the so-called "Domino Theory" proved bogus; which was one of the few "Logical" explanations for what we were doing there.
The Iraq War was another neocon (i.e., progressive) war, easily backed by progressives of both the left and the right.
Both these wars were disasters for America.
In my opinion, if Trump said so, he was right.
And try to hurt him with his base.
JenGriffinFNC confirms FORMER Trump admin official confirms details in The Atlantic story, including quotes about veterans. When the President spoke about the Vietnam War he said, It was a stupid war. Anyone who went was a sucker.
FORMER - IOW DISGRUNTLED
Trump should SUE The Atlantic just for the optics if nothing else.
More Fake News.
Trump would never think such a thing, much less say it.
He has done more for our troops than any President before him.
Unnamed Sources said she was.
Maybe people can get THAT trending, on social media.
Trump is not gentle when it comes to referring to past appointments that he thinks have not served him well. Mattis was one and during this afternoon's press briefing, he threw John Kelly under the bus essentially saying that Kelly could not keep up with the rigors of the position and at the end was not performing his job.
So it's entirely possible that Trump in a moment of candor could have said something like those in Vietnam were suckered by the unpopular political stands from those in power at the time (not suckers). But even John Bolton, who wrote about the French incident (weather cancelling the trip to the WW-I battlefield) in his book said that he didn't hear those remarks.
It's also highly likely that those who have been called out by name from Trump's stinging remarks would take an opportunity to strike back with a similar amount of vitriol in a media publication like the Atlantic.
goldberg doesn’t like Trump either
Both these critters have the air of being higher and mightier than anyone else.
Kudos for that (both service and the post).
Exactly
I really just wish someone would locate these “anonymous sources” and beat them bloody.
He's been quoted today as saying just because he didn't hear it doesn't mean Trump didn't say it. He's tossing Trump under the bus for all he's worth.
Vietnam was a wet dream of the "conservative" progressives ... now known as neocons.Back then I believe they were known as Scoop Jackson Democrats...socially liberal but fiscally conservative. And big proponents of national defense.
