The U.S. economy added 1.4 million jobs in August as the unemployment rate unexpectedly tumbled, indicating the nation's labor market is continuing a slow, but steady, recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
The Labor Department's payroll report released Friday showed the jobless rate fell sharply to 8.4%, down from 10.2% in June and a peak of 14.7% in April. It marks the first time since March that unemployment is below 10%.
Economists surveyed by Refinitiv expected the report to show that unemployment dropped to 9.8% and the economy added 1.4 million jobs. It's well below the combined 7.5 million jobs added in May and June before hiring cooled in July, with 1.9 million added.

What does this mean? Time for another round of anti-American COVID restrictions from the Dementiacrat Demon Rats to try to damage the economy so it doesn’t “benefit” Trump’s re-election efforts/chances.

Time to roll out the Covid numbers for little children who were forced to go back to school by big, mean, child killing Trump.
Small landlords are being destroyed, and they can’t collect unemployment. The government- now including Trump is destroying them. Causing them to go bankrupt.
Any current positive headline MUST include a non-sequitur.

No doubt that’s next. The “spikes” in cases from the colleges and high schools. Bet on it.
7.5 million jobs in May-June, plus 1.9 million in July, plus 1.4 million in August equals 10.8 million jobs. Not bad!
And more good news out of the Rasmussen daily Presidential poll showing 52 percent support for Trump this morning.
This week and last week have been fantastic for Trump.

Trump has nothing to do with how New York State or California is governed.
And Trump just signed an executive order giving the CDC powers to stop landlords from evicting anyone with could.

Has anyone else noticed how The ADP estimate, announced a couple days before the government figure, is often extremely far off. This month they estimate 428k. The actual figure was about 1 million
