Who knew that arresting criminals would lead to a drop in crime?

It’s about time. Glad to see former Dallas PD Chief David Brown is making the long overdue changes up there.

All Black Lives Matter
There’s an opening for a peaceful sect to counter BLM. Like MLK jr and the Black Panthers.

“Enforcing laws energetically, even for minor crimes, sets an expectation of public order and disincentivizes more wanton commission of serious crimes. Setting criminals free via an end to cash bail and the refusal to enforce laws for their supposedly low priority sends a message of impunity that rapidly gets absorbed and pushed past the supposed retreat boundaries that communities have set up.”
It is hard to argue with that.
The numbers for the last month in Chicago show death from gunfire is down sharply; wounding from gunfire is down slightly.
It may be the federal effort has spooked the gunmen - they are shooting and scooting. The gunmen are even less accurate than in the past with spray and pray.
Criminals fear President Trump and his people. The president needs to keep the skeer on them.

A major operation at a motel that had been a hotbed of criminal activity and the result was:
Five people were arrested, and agents seized three ounces of cocaine, one ounce of fentanyl and a handgun.
That hardly sounds like it was worth the effort.

The 63 murders reported in August was a 45% decrease from July, while the number of shootings decreased by 15%, Chicago police said in a news release Tuesday. So as we are getting the professional criminals off the street, the slack in shootings is being picked up by amatuers.

If merely arresting criminals and incarcerating them has a desired effect of lowering crime, I wonder what it would do if we immediately executed the sentences of all those on death row?
Think it might give murderers cause for concern that they might pay for their crimes with their very lives?

Who could ever imagine arresting criminals could make crime levels drop? The Democrats are totally baffled by this bizarre and unexpected result.

Mass Federal charges implemented via Operation Legend are the key, because Fed prosecutors won’t being letting these assholes waltz out of jail as soon as they are arrested, and sentences are going to be much stiffer when convicted ...
