Maryland Gov. Larry Hogans administration on Saturday fired an employee for divisive images and statements made on social media, including posts that sympathized with the teenager charged with shooting demonstrators in Wisconsin.
Arthur Mac Love IV had been deputy director of the Governors Office of Community Initiatives, which oversees the states ethnic and cultural commissions, community service programs and religious outreach. Hes been with the office since 2015, according to his online resume.
Love did not respond to requests for comment sent via Facebook on Saturday.
Love has posted memes showing support for Kyle Rittenhouse, a 17-year-old from Illinois who is charged with fatally shooting Anthony M. Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum during demonstrations in Kenosha. People had gathered in Kenosha to protest the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Rittenhouses attorney has argued that his client acted in self-defense. Some of Loves posts amplify that argument.

Thanks Hogan!
Maryland/Hogan!
Hogan is a Bush League Republican.
They think bowing and scraping to the left is good politics.
Not surprising. Its Maryland after all.
Sue for violation of 1st amendment rights.
Take it to the Supreme Court and eliminate an employers power to fire an employee for private comments.
That need to happen and it would be landmark.
Definitely, especially if the case gets ruled as actual defense. Then what?
Hogan will get reelected bc he’s not really a Republican. He is a Christy Whitman/George Bush/McCain type who appeals to the googoo Democrats in Montgomery County (that county, PG County and Baltimore) are the central sores of the state.
Well... we’re screwed. ...but we’re already screwed.
Guess we can wait for at least one or tow more conservative judges before it’s brought forward.
btw Where is the ACLU? /s
Are those that support the other side fired as well?.........................
Sue the bastards
No he won't. Term limits!
Just more cancel culture targeting anyone who doesn’t share the approved opinion. Disgusting that common sense gets you fired. I hope he sues and wins big.
I was permanently banned from a site for condoning cold blooded murder regarding Kyle’s case.
The outing of leftists is happening everywhere.
Maryland: the state where even the bird crap on your windshield is bi-partisan.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
This makes me hopping mad.
So...a company that has an official 8 minutes of silence in solidarity with George Floyd and Black Lives Matter because that is how how long a police officer had his knee on him...a felon who held a gun to the abdomen of a pregnant woman, is okay, but support for an American who defends himself against these animals is NOT?
That corporate support for a convicted, violent felon, whose death might well be directly due to his drug use, and by extension, support for a violent, racist organization such as Black Lives Matter is, to me, a hostile work environment.
Just a gentle nomination for Oregon and CA as Freak State but I will defer to you that it is Maryland.
Any of the three would be bothered by that inconvenient "freedom of speech" and "freedom of thought" stuff. Messy for them to deal with facts.
Woman I heard on a radio discussion insisted she would only discuss the late minutes' video (the Kyle ready to shoot his rounds)----and wishes the earlier video parts (menaced, taunted, surrounded, a pistol aimed at him, a skateboard aimed at his head) would be lost. Said Kyle intended to travel to murder someone and then did. What a head case. But she could end up on a jury.
Get another job and let this sit. After the aquittal, sue for wrongful termination. KA-CHING.
After this era of madness ends, I predict that there will be a new generation of lottery winners.
That woman should be heavily sedated, in restraints and in a mental asylum.
I am so sick of Lockdown Larry!
