Forcing people to pay for the actions of others. Our side can have REAL fun with this concept.

I’m one of the people who realize that our constitutional government is run by we the people.
California is 50+ billion in debt.
Aren’t people embarrassed by this ridiculousness. Aren’t men mortified that the state takes their families’resources for this business

There is no money.

Sometimes “optics” are ironic.

California today has so many foreign born and 1st generation immigrants, and so many immigrants who are non-white, and we are talking about the legacy of black slaves held by whites. Reparations will eventually include taxes to be paid by people who had nothing to do with black slavery.

And as noted, California was not a slave state.

If you were looking at business tax impact....another fine example why staying in California is not possible. Trying to manufacture anything and be competitive on prices? Impossible. That’s what they don’t grasp...you’d destroy all competitive nature in the state...in a matter of months.

Don’t the legislatures have anything better to do? I know. Rhetorical question. Silly me.

“ “Let’s be clear: Chattel slavery, both in California and across our nation, birthed a legacy of racial harm and inequity that continues to impact the conditions of Black life in California,” said Democratic Sen. Holly Mitchell of Los Angeles.

She cited disproportionate homelessness, unemployment, involvement in the criminal justice system, lower academic performance and higher health risks during the coronavirus pandemic.”

You have got to be kidding me. According to this logic, Africa must be a downright paradise.

Well, this is a big surprise, NOT!

California State Senator Holly Mitchell (D).

And this one, her colleage and bill supporter, California State Senator Steven Bradford (D).

FYI: It was just last week when most of the GOP CA State Senators were banned from participation in the legislation because of a single exposure to a Covid case in a dining function. Health first OR power politics, you decide!

This is what you get when you combine a one party state, a media that is nothing more then the voice of the party and the need to pander to their base.

Every special interest group gets to put in their wish list of things they want.

That’s because slavery was/is a huge problem in California.

Enough!

Ok, so every once in a while there is talk about this State or that State (or States) and secession from the US. Seriously though, what about the other way around? Can the rest of us force California out of the US? I'm ready to seriously consider it.

“The measure passed the state Senate in a bipartisan vote.”

It’s sickening that any republican would vote for this.

When they go ahead and enact this Zimbabwe-style theft from non-blacks, it will be permanent. Because if I owe black people money over what happened 160 years ago, then why won’t my children and their children also owe? Obviously they will also owe.

(Of course at that point, there’s no way that anyone in my family is going to residing in the sh-t hole that was once California)

Of the eleven Republican CA State Senators only three had the intestinal fortitude to vote no. Five voted yes and the three did not vote.
Here are the five quislings:
SD36 Bates
SD 8 Borgeas
SD 29 Chang
SD 1 Dahle
SD 21 Wilk
