A 48-year old man who was accused of carrying a loaded gun at an earlier downtown Portland protest is under investigation in the fatal shooting Saturday night of a right-wing demonstrator after a pro-Trump rally.
Michael Forest Reinoehl calls himself an anti-fascist and has posted videos and photos of demonstrations he attended since late June, accompanied by the hashtags #blacklivesmatter, #anewnation and #breonnataylor.
Reinoehl was raised in Sandy and has had recent addresses in Northeast Portland, Gresham and Clackamas. He described himself on social media and in a video interview with Bloomberg Quick Take News as a professional snowboarder and contractor who has former military experience but "hated" his time in the army.
Sources familiar with the case but not authorized to speak said police are investigating Reinoehl. A family member also identified him as a man captured in photos and video seen leaving the shooting scene shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday.....

Was charged with possession of an illegal weapon when he was 17. I wonder how many other times he’s been arrested/charged since then. He obviously hasn’t changed his ways since his teens.

If the gun is a semi-auto, the magazines themselves need to be empty. If not (even stored separately from the gun) it is a “loaded gun”.
Seeing as this guy lives in Washington state, he may or may not have an Oregon CCW permit. I imagine he probably may also have a record that would prevent him from possession of a firearm.

Evidently, it’s not too big of a deal, the DA dropped all charges to keep a Soldier on the street.

That’s the second time before he murdered someone that he was found with a gun, and there are most likely numerous other cases.

OMG - I had to reread that article as that is how I read it.
No - the racing incident happened this year. Reinoele (rhymes with a**hole?) was racing his 17-year old son at 111 mph who was driving another car.
Rienole’s 11 year old daughter was a passenger in Reinoles’ car!
Read elswhere his name was Jay Bishop.

Okay...thanks. I’m pretty good on comprehension, and thought he was 17 when he was racing with his father. Geez...what a whacked-out family. This guy was an accident waiting for a place to happen.
What got me all disjointed is it all sounds like the actions of a stupid 17 year old - not a 48 year old! Red shirt guy in Kenosha was 39 iirc. The other two were late 20’s I think.
