In most sports, the players actually get paid very little money for the playoffs. A player on an NBA championship team probably gets less than $300,000 for his playoff share ... which is pocket change in a league where the average player is paid almost $8 million per season.
This is why team owners are always looking to expand the playoffs to drive up revenue ... because its a lot of revenue without much cost for them.

Thanks. I had always thought they made a better bonus for playoffs.
Will their salaries continue if next season is cancelled or cut way back? Most of them blow their money and end up broke.
