In my state if the cop does not make an arrest for a DV (within 4 hours), the officer could be held personally liable for not making the arrest if they had an opportunity to arrest. Girlfriend in the car with children maybe? Guy gets into the car drives away and kills everyone...family sues...wins. Even against the officer and family personally, and the department throws the officer under the bus.

Too bad no controlling legal authority to enforce law enforcement on DAs of the DNC.

My son in law, a cop, says when he goes to a domestic, someone is leaving. It’s up to the couple which one. It’s up to that person to figure out if it’s jail.

I wouldn’t doubt that a bit.

Of course a judge lets some guy off easy and he goes out and
kills someone, and he couldn’t care less, and penalty, what
penalty?
