so where did mysterious 20 foot storm surge go??...ill tell ya where, east of the eye along the coast, where hardly anybody lives. Storm surge does NOT go 40 miles inland...as for the eye, surge is north...east...and west of the eye,..the eye provides no safe guard from surge. You all fall for the hype..

.as for the eye, surge is north...east...and west of the eyeGo ahead and keep proving your ignorance. By far, the worst surge is east of the eye, not north and west.
And that part of the Louisiana coast is barely above sea level, so surge can go well inland.

I 10 is about 5 miles north of the beach...Katrina hit in broad daylight....show me one pic of water from the beach to the 1 10....show me surge damage north of I 10...as for 12 miles, thats just weird.

Once again, coastal Mississippi is higher than coastal Louisiana, so surge cannot travel as far inland. The surge from Cat 3 Audrey, which hit the same area of Louisiana, caused damage 25 miles inland.

you claim because of the eye of the storm, that it magically means no surge...thats absurd....this was a strong cat 4 hurricane and the surge was along the coast, like it always is....this 30-40 inland claim is fantasy....your imagination.

Once again, the worst surge is to the east of the eastern side of the eye. That is proven science.
I'm done here, no point debating someone who chooses to be deliberately ignorant like you are here.

You have long been a downcasting moron. Port Arthur was on the weaker side of the storm.

Here is a map of Audrey's impacts. Note the surge extended past Lake Charles. And that there was less surge along the eyewall and no surge west of the eyewall. Also note the low wind impact for Port Arthur, and Laura was much further to the east than Audrey.
Documented history, you moron. But go ahead and continue to wallow in your ignorance.

as for the eye, surge is north...east...and west of the eyeYou are typing word salad. Just because you have access to a keyboard does not also mean you have the slightest clue what you are talking about. Now, run along to your conspiracy theory websites. We'll even toss in a tin foil hat to help you on your way.

Right on --- re storm surge!
10:30AM CST: Still nothing here -- so far -- at the TX-LA-AR border junction, (aka "Three States")...
..but some solid rain @ ~5AM. But, the eye is still some 90 miles SSE of us...
