This war was initiated by Hillary’s “confidant,” Sid Blumenthal, who Obama had forbidden to work at State. He was sending her “intel” which was different than what the CIA was supplying. Several sources suggested that he was motivated by other parties wanting to take control of Libya’s oil. Doubtless, the Clinton crime family would have profited.
It used to be that civil wars ended when one side was exhausted and unable to continue. But today, otherwise uninvolved outside parties move their agenda forward by supplying food, weapons, logistics and manpower. This is why the Syrian civil war has gone on far longer than would otherwise have been the case. Because of this outside involvement, from this point forward, civil wars may continue for generations. Turkey wants to use Libya to claim a huge area for maritime development. Egypt wants to stop them. Unless they get directly involved with each other, this has the potential to keep the civil war going for fifty years.
Obviously we need to send thousands of our young men and women, somewhere, to fight somebody! That is the Bolton way. If you can’t figure things out, just bombed the crap out of them. Sure, there will be a little collateral damage, but so what? Worked in Vietnam. Oh wait, I guess it didn’t.
So long as Hamas and Hexbollah live, there will never be peace.
Everybody knows these organizations must be wiped put, destroyed, exterminated before there can be peace.

The war in Libya is ongoing and no end is in sight. It could go on for generations. But peace between Israel and the UAE will make it longer. Such tight reasoning can be indulged in only by the most expert experts. Kids, don’t try this at home.

But based on what you wrote and the fact that the last occupant of the White House is the smartest man on the planet, one would think that he, his CIA director, NSA director, SecDef, and a whole host of others would have been able to override whatever intentions/motivations she and her pal, Blumenthal, had.
As for the wars going on for generations, that goes back to my original statement. They’ll keep fighting each other to the last man. Too many people, not saying you’re one of them, in this country like to think that the rest of the world is just like the US. I’m thinking you know that idea is far, far, far from the truth. These folks will hold a grudge till the end of time. Afghanistan..... two boys from different families grow up together - playing buzkashi - best friends - one day one of the boys elders tells his grandson to slit the throat of the other boy because of a disagreement from 30yrs ago. It’s their culture.
So, at the end of the day, we’re back to proxy wars, chaos and violence. As old as time itself. If their war goes on for 50yrs, that’s on them. At some point someone will rise up to the occasion. And if it happens in the next 4 years and he/she is legit, I’m quite sure that President Trump, during his second term, will offer a helping hand. If not, good luck to Libya. Our President isn’t allowing us to dip our toe in any of those waters and get us involved for no reason.

That’s the idea.
In Libya the UAE and Egypt on one side and Erdogan on the other. If the civil war in Libya is prolonged, it is Erdogan who should be blamed. Regardless of their governments, I’ll side with Egypt and the UAE over Erdogan any day.
I regard the Turkish involvement as akin to the Kondor Legion in the Spanish civil war -- the goal is to help a future ally take control, and train up the Turkish and practice with new weapons systems and tactics. The Russians have used the Wagner Group and other mercenaries, and when the Turks knocked out all of the vaunted new Russian missile systems, the Egyptians moved up the troops. It's going to be a long stalemate. Meanwhile, Erdogan's got lousy relations with all his neighbors, and seems to just want to make those relations worse every day. The Russians are now being fingered for the recent coup in Mali (although the leftist Foreign Policy mag blames the US), which borders Niger, and Niger just signed a deal with the Turks.

Erdogan is acting like no one in the Middle East can recall their countries long subjugation under the Ottoman Turks. They all do remember it and it is not with fondness. Erdogan can make/buy a few friends of convenience, but long term wise Turkey has Zero chance of leading a hegemony in the Middle East again. It has about as much chance of that as would Japan in Asia today.
But alas, whatever follows Erdogan in Turkey will be worse.

No one has a crystal ball on that.
Erdogan has been collecting all the religious radicals under his roof, and simultaneously earning the displeasure of just about all other groups.
However, the one thing that is not likely to change, even with a more secular minded government in Turkey, is Turkish nationalism and the use of that nationalism for “Turks” compared to all the minorities in Turkey.
The fact, known to the Turks and everyone in Turkey, is that nearly all the minorities in Turkey - mainly Greeks, Assyrians, Armenians and Kurds, historically predate the Turks as peoples of Anatolia and the lands surrounding it. As much as the Turks have enjoyed ignoring it, for centuries, the others are not going to let the Turks forget it. Turkish nationalism has an anxiety level that stems from its historical insecurity and the demand to overcome that by bullying everyone else. That is how they gained rule in Anatolia to begin with and Turkish nationalism will remain tied to it - even under a better government in Turkey.
However, time may be on the side of the minorities.
Kurdish women are having births at double the rate of Turkish women, and the rate for Turkish women is far below a replacement rate. Erdogan is aware of this and has feared that Turks could be 2nd to Kurds in Turkey in another generation. THAT is part of his anxiety about Turkish kurds linking up with Kurds in Iraq and Syria.
It has taken a similar approach toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, abandoning the traditional U.S. role of mediator between Israel and its adversaries, and instead condoning all of Netanyahu’s excesses when it comes to settlement expansion, the increasing militarization of Israeli foreign policy, and corrupt, discriminatory, and undemocratic domestic practices.
Because working with the palestinian/islamic groups has
worked so well?
He's just regurgitating the pro-jihadist narrative that had prevailed under Obama/Biden.
