Reminds me of when I went to go see Pat Metheny play the Orchestrion.
It’s not about the instruments.
That about sums it up nowadays...not like the other country songs which if you played it backwards you would get your job, girl, and dog back.
Music????
What I hear playing at the gym is computer drum tracks and weird chanting and shouting. No one seems to be listening, just background noise.
??????
no comprende
You achieve it from what I remember......
Which ain’t sayin a helluva lot.............
That’s been done so much it’s self parody.
Is that what they call “steam punk”??
Nope. The Wintergatan Marble Machine is more steam punk (steam punk is a look and style, not a musical genre.)

What Dragonforce is... is rather unique. Closest genre to it is speed metal. Something else relatively new is symphonic metal.

It wasn’t parody when it came out. :P
Not since 1991.
That’s country song 1. (Of course, if you get them back, the question is why would you want them?)
Country song 2: Moaning about being in a bar because you’re soooo lonely and life sucks.
Country song 3: Wondering why your wife left you and you lost your job while noting you spend a minimum 4 hours a day in the bar drinking.
Most of the problems in country music are self caused and could be fixed by drinking less, paying more attention and NOT HANGING OUT AT THE BAR WITH OTHER IDIOTS.

I would take a guess that you haven't listened to a Country song recorded after the early 1980s.
I have, but that’s apparently classed as the “evil” “Nuuuuuuuu Country” by people here, sooooo...
Again - classic country archive being taken out by a nuke would be a massive improvement in mental health for humanity as that crap is depressing as hell.
Alice is in AZ, just waiting for the second they cut him loose again.
He’ll be fine.
I apologize for inserting myself into your conversation, but when you mentioned Symphonic Metal, you caught my attention.
Then, when I clicked your link and saw it was Nightwish’s “Poet And The Pendulum”, I became excited.
Nightwish is my favorite modern band and “Poet and The Pendulum” is my favorite Nightwish song. “Dead Boy’s Poem” and “Planet Hell” are also faves.
The album version of “Poet And The Pendulum” is great, but the live version at Wembley is epic. Anette Olzon wasn’t bad on the album version, but Floor Jansen is on another level and adds so much emotion to the song.
Do we really want to get into an Annette vs Floor debate/argument here on FR? :P
Also, remember, according to the old fogeys upthread, this was somehow all done before decades before and it can’t possibly be good and the peak of music was 60 years ago. -rolleyes-
Yep. Don McLean was 30 years too early
Pssst - Go look up the bands The Midnight and L/\ Nights. They’ve picked up where the synth bands of the 80s left off.
