That don't matter a bit. What matters are the cops had no idea what he might have been going for. No idea at all. You can't allow a suspect to do that. They don't know. In many cases it turns out to be a gun and the cops get shot up. Of the suspect jumps in, starts the car, a huge pursuit follows and innocent people die on the highway.
Hopefully there's body cam footage.

The cops are 100% justified in assuming he’s going to do at least one of them and therefore will very likely put innocent lives in danger. He had to have been stopped when he was. The cop saw the situation correctly and did what he had to do. imo
They should be home getting ready for work tomorrow not out in the street.

Lets say that's not what happened here. My comments are based on the evidence at hand, in this case, the video. Btw, if you're a cop and your trying to detain or arrest a suspect, you can't allow them to reach back into a vehicle. That would be suicide. And if ya allow them to run into some home, they could take hostages, or start killing the innocent.
That's the way cops are trained. And it should be. If ya don't like it take it up with them, not me.

Fact...The cops had their weapons drawn because they thought he was a threat. Full stop.
Fact... Once the cops draw their weapons you don’t get to screw around and refuse to stop.
Fact... The cop tried to grab him away from the car because they thought it may contain a weapon.
Fact...The cop never shot him until he went for what they thought was a weapon.
Full stop. End of story. Good shoot.
Explain how walking away from a man with a gun is “not exactly a peace-loving move”?

Why did the cops draw their guns then follow him around the vehicle in an attempt to get him to comply with their direction? Why did he not stop and follow orders. Why did he make the situation unsafe? Who empowered him?
At what point does the black community take responsibility? When does it clean up the mess it's responsible for? If they listen to the Democrats, and stay in the negative feedback look, they'll never fix it and just point fingers. That juvenile behavior needs to end. Now that we've got people, the Smithsonian for example, teaching personal responsibility and well mannered behavior are elements of white privilege, this politically motivated b*llsh*t needs to be ended.
