Given the current environment and interest in the issue of racial inequality, we want to provide clarification on our existing guideline regarding the discussion of local and national topics/events. Here is a quick summary regarding where on Nextdoor you can discuss certain topics.
** Conversations related to racial inequality and Black lives matter are allowed on Nextdoor.
Allowed in the main feed:
- Announcements or discussions of local events or events that you have attended or plan to attend.
- Discussion of local law enforcements record or policies. [permission for doxing]
- Discussion of how these issues affect or have affected you or people you know.
- Discussions of steps people in the community can take to become involved, including fundraising campaigns or petitions for local causes.
- Links to websites or resources that are relevant to the discussion, and you think your neighbors may benefit from.

Never heard of NextDoor.
Did you maybe mean “now”?
What about fundraising campaigns or petitions for local causes that support the men and women of law enforcement?
Yes, now. Sorry.
The guidelines explicitly state that police policy may be openly discussed, which means attacked. And by extention, police may be attacked.
Mods notified of correction needed.
Can police policy also be openly defended?
Not yet. Avoid it like the plague when you do.
I think he meant “now”.
And this is one reason I unsubscribed that personal info scraping ware from my email. Except I still get it. Guess Prakash really wants my money.
Wow! When I started on Nextdoor a few years back they did not allow ANY discussions of a political nature. They also did not even have advertisements. Now they are inundated with both!! Time to leave them.
I have been thrown off of Next Door at least 5 times YET leftis seem to be able to call names ect. ect. this last time I did not go back it has become worse than twitter over there!!
From their "community guidelines" page:
Not allowedMessages that are disrespectful to your neighbors or otherwise violate Nextdoors Be helpful, not hurtful, Ranting, or Over-posting Guidelines.
Read into this what is obviously intended. Only a single BLM sycophant needs to complain to have such discussions censored. Furthermore, the BLM complainer can be as hurtful as he/she/it wants to be, and he/she/it will not be held to account for objectively DISRESPECTFUL attacks (I speak from experience, I was openly threated with impunity.)
Yeah. The foreigners who run that company really don’t like Americans, except when it comes to screwing us for cash.
It’s basically a sophisticated phishing operation. Maybe if some one told them sedition by foreigners can end you up in Gitmo maybe they’d think twice.
I post on NextDoor in my area. This year is the worst for political postings by brain-dead liberal idiots. It started as a neighborhood information site with cheerful postings about animals, gardening, home improvement and general feel-good events. This year the crazies posted anti-Trump garbage and ruined the site. I fight back, and am pleased that there are a lot of conservatives that back me up. This, in a southern suburb of San Francisco. Yes there are God-loving decent people here that support Trump. When the arguing goes off the deep end, I take a break for a couple weeks. What's nice is that the liberal crazies are the ones that get banned, because they resort to name-calling and violent threats, unlike conservatives that use logic and facts.

“What’s nice is that the liberal crazies are the ones that get banned, “
All our leads are liberal crazies.
We have a Karen (who goes by the name of Bill), on our Nextdoor that is CONSTANTLY posting Covid fear porn.
A few days ago s/he posted that our local hospitals are FULL of China Flu patients. He was immediately called out, for posting a) an old article and, b) incorrect and fearmongering info.
Someone asked him if he could please stop posting articles that seem political when it comes to China Flu.....he then replied with the NextDoor posting rules, that are posted at OP.
That's unfortunate. I've tried to put in complaints to the leads, and never hear back from them and they don't take action. That's when I know they're also liberals.
I’m on it here in far northwest exurban Shitcago. Haven’t really seen any political stuff yet. Mostly found pets, recs for plumbers etc.
