You must say the same about heroin and crack.Wrong. There are few if any other currently illegal drugs that, like marijuana, are less harmful than the legal drug alcohol. So the case for marijuana legalization is strongest. Also, prudence dictates that we legalize in a measured manner - which means starting with the least harmful drug and seeing what lessons we learn before considering further legalizations.

As we Michiganders pointed out, putting proposals regarding pot legalization on the ballot brings out Leftists to vote who normally do not care. Then savvy Republicans who support freedom should get a clue and support it. One not need be a fortune teller to figure out it will eventually be legal just about everywhere anyway. This is certainly no secret. Look at the data.

Learn to write, you didn’t specify anything. You were unintentionally right though.
To: NobleFree
You pick and choose hypocritically. You pick your favorite drug over the rest and then hold the torch for it.

What the GOP should do is let the legislature deal with the issue instead of putting it on the ballot.

At least Trump knows who his enemies are. A lot of here cozy up to them as well. Loser leftists, all of them.

"Republicans need to support legalization."
No, they don't. America has turned away from feeding the increasing epidemic of crime including the riots. Dopers will vote for Biden anyway, and more conservatives know better than to believe them. Compulsive lying is a common behavior in drug addicts. So are logical fallacies (especially red herrings), projections, false accusations and insults.

you didnt specify anything.Wrong - to the fully literate, my linking phrase "By contrast" made that specification.

I make distinctions for the reasons I explain. I don't know if you're to stupid to get it - or if you hope other FReepers are.

For all your proselytizing and effort, I don’t think you’ve managed to change a single person’s mind in 20 years or so.
To: NobleFree
Legalizing drug abuse leads to more addictions, more mental cases, more out of control crime and big government spending. Look at what’s happening in the pothead states.

The lesson: for reasons of limited-government principle as well as electoral practicality, Republicans need to support legalization. No, they don't. America has turned away from feeding the increasing epidemic of crime including the riots.
Irrelevant.
Dopers will vote for Biden anyway,
The ones who turn out only for pot initiatives may be winnable - if conservative candidates display consistency in support for limited government.
and more conservatives know better than to believe them. Compulsive lying is a common behavior in drug addicts.
What does "believing addicts" have to do with anything? Who suggested we believe addicts, and about what?
So are logical fallacies (especially red herrings), projections, false accusations and insults.
The only examples of such on this thread are from the anti-legalizers.

Or was your post just more of the same old Reefer Madness hot air?

The President is wrong once in a while - as he is about the inevitability of legalization supporters voting Rat.
