As you send your kids off to college, you might be apprehensive about them getting killed. But if you follow the data instead of the media, you will understand that they are exponentially more likely to die from a car accident or from getting convinced to drink or shoot up drugs than from COVID-19.
...
What is shocking and laughable, yet tragic at the same time, is the lack of recognition that not wearing masks (even assuming they work) is the least of the high-risk behavior on campuses.
...
Drugs, alcohol, and deadly car crashes, unfortunately, are not limited by health status and often rope in good kids who get in with the wrong crowd and make just one mistake. Perhaps dealing with the attitude of permissiveness on college campuses would save a lot more lives than wearing silly cloths.
...
the depression, anxiety, panic, and isolation being created by those who distort the threat level of the virus are making the drug crisis exponentially worse
...
the CDC reports 25.5% of 18-24-year-olds in a survey expressed serious consideration of committing suicide because of the epidemic of fear.
...
Yet, college students, parents, and administrators seem to be more concerned about COVID-19 than all the other risks that are so much more common on college campuses these days. We have never done this to our youth during other pandemics.
...
nobody panicked on college campuses during the H1N1 flu, which specifically targeted younger people.
...
The ultimate result of this pandemic of fear is that so many youngsters will die from fearing a virus that does not affect them. Never before have the immortal words of FDR been more relevant: The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I was talking to my 24 year old son about this today and he said, “I think this Covid-19 thing is overblown.”
I couldn’t be prouder. He’s not a “sheeple.” :)
Trish Regan said that this China virus is another impeachment scam against Trump .
The mask-mafia has become a nationwide cult.
Scary.....
The timing of the whole thing is certainly suspicious. About a month after impeachment fizzled out, in swoops Covid-19.
I start teaching at the maritime college in Maine on Monday, August 31. I will be teaching in a classroom that seats 150 students but with only 30 students enrolled. I will be wearing a face shield-it is tough to lecture through a face mask. There is a great deal of uncertainly if we continue face to face for the entire semester. We have been told to be ready to convert to remote learning on moments notice.
I get tested for COVID 19 the day after tomorrow.
Unless ordered to do so, I plan to be in the classroom lecturing for all my classes for the entire semester. One change-few paper exams and quizzes-everything will be done electronically-quizzes and exams graded eletronically and posted immediately.
Suicide has always been one of the leading causes of death for college students...peaks at the beginning of semesters when seeing the syllabi and thinking "OMG--I can't do this" and at final exam week.
It wasn’t a couple of weeks or a couple of days...it was less than 24 ho F urs.
“F” in “hours”.
And probably suicide
The news media just loves the hell out of Covid!
Think about it, they DO NOT have to investigate it... just spend like 5 minutes on the net and they have all the stats they need for the nightly broadcast!
And anybody who says “I’m not certain every death you say is covid” gets tossed into a conspiratorial Hydroxychloroquin anti-vacciner pile and that’s it.
And nightly they’ll dig up a teenager who almost died from it and swears it’s the scariest thing on the Earth since pterosaurs or something...
So kids are stupid. (Don’t know how any of us lived through youth. What a generous Father is our Lord.)
Means nothing in regards to covid.
It’s not about the disease, it is about TRUMP — and the election.
Of course we know this Daniel.
There someone goes. Making sense again.

He is approving endless rounds of blue state bailout. Pelosis #spendocracy is strong. Finally making some sense on the last one. No one ever posts the total he has approved thus far. Why not the whole truth. Of course now, even shovel ready infrastructure jobs are a yes. Party pimps.
“About a month after Russiagate fizzled out, in swoops impeachment. About a month after impeachment fizzled out, in swoops Covid-19. About a month after Covid-19 fizzled out, in swoop the St Floyd riots.”
And now the Postal Service joke of a fiasco.
