Went to Lowe’s today and EVERYBODY was wearing a mask. Of course, no mask for me. I refuse to live in fear. If I die...so be it.
(Gotta say...I was at Home Depot a few days ago...only about half the people were wearing masks.)
It’s not the living in fear thing. It’s the reality that it’s very very likely not dangerous to you at all. If there was an airborne illness that was incredibly easily transferred and had a mortality rate of 80% I’d wear an astronaut’s helmet if I had to. It’s not about fear or coverage. It’s about the scientific truth of the virus.
Well that’s what it should be about. What it is about is a lot more control over us to the point of a dictatorship in some areas
Went into Staples to get ink for hubby.
Store nearly empty, as usual.
Was checking the expiration dates for freshest ink when a fat bald dude crept up behind and thrust a mask in my face, mumbling “Do you have a mask”?
I said yeah and pointed to the stretch lace nothing around my neck.
He said “Put it on” and I argued that I don’t have to but he got snotty so I pulled it up and when he walked away I pulled it back down.
Went out to the car and told Himself what happened and that I was mightily pissed, and wanted to take it back, so he took the ink back and returned it, telling the girl why.
The mask pusher walked up and Himself loudly said “You must be the fat bald guy that gave my old lady shit” and it rolled on, from there.
They apologized to him.
Went to WalMart and got the ink cheaper, no mask.
You may ask yourself, why didn’t *I* go back and return it...because honestly, he felt that his chances of winding up in jail that day were much smaller than mine, given my ever-dwindling ability to swallow this lie with a smile.
