The villain in the upcoming Warner Bros. superhero film Wonder Woman 1984 is partly inspired by Donald Trump, director Patty Jenkins revealed in an interview with ScreenRant.

“He’s one of them,” Jenkins said when asked if Trump was an influence on the character of antagonist Maxwell Lord, who is played by Pedro Pascal. “I mean honestly, the funny thing is he is, but I’m not trying to make… We even have the president in this movie, and I’ve gone out of my way not to make it look like Ronald Reagan.”

Jenkins insisted that the film is not political and the character is more inspired by Trump the business mogul.

A lot of villainous businessmen had some Trump-like characteristics.

DC has been horrific, distorting the charaters. Lex Luthor was VERY well established as a classic bald mad-scientist type (though he is introduced AFTER the most wicked of evil Mad Scientists ... Dr. Sivana). The classic Luthor wore a lab coat or street clothes. Later they gave him the fancy villain uniform and later still made him an evil businessman (about as original as a demented Frank Capra/Charles Dickens villain).

D.C. also bought the rights to the Captain Marvel character that they had sued out of existence, but forgot to buy the name before Marvel Comics. With the Captain Marvel character they got Dr. Sivana, and they did the SAME thing, turning him into an evil businessman. HELLoooo ... he is a scientific DOCTOR.

Putting Trump ahead of George Washington is just ridiculous.

Why?

One can argue that Trump's job in this modern world, with a much bigger U.S. with its huge number or problems and a whole world to contend with, including the world's many problems, has had a much bigger job and a more difficult job than Washington.

‘Wonder Woman’. Yet another rehash from yesteryear. Hollyweird producers can’t come up with original ideas they have to reach back into the past? Won’t get a dime from me..

The first season of the female Doctor had a villain clearly modeled after Donald Trump. A blowhard blonde American hotel owner who wanted to murder the illegal alien (really alien) immigrant hiding in the basement. (It was a kind of mega-spider.)

No one else will ever compare.

Plus, the fact that he walked away after two terms. Unlike the Rats who stay for life.

Yeah right not political, if that's the truth than why didn't he pattern the character after Soros?

One more movie that I won't pay a penny to see thanks to some liberal jackass involved in it mouthing off and pushing their political crap.

Gotta break with you FReepers. I’m a huge comic book/movie fan, and I can’t wait for WW84. I don’t care if Gal Gadot is Stalin’s daughter. The first WW kicked ass, as I’m a D.C. fan over Marvel.

This bitch denied Trump was an influence just a couple months ago, citing Gordon Gecko and Gene Hackman’s Lex Luthor as influences. I guess she’s just trying for some free publicity by changing her tune.

Craig T. Nelson’s character in “The Devil’s Advocate’ is compared to Trump (cause he’s a real estate mogul) and Trump let them rent his apartment to film there.

Peaky Blinders villain, a real-life historical person, was going around saying “Britain First” and something in Latin about Jews while making a fascist salute. Coincidence?

One of my favorite movies.

“Saw him back in 2008 at Logan Airport.”

Interesting. Seem like anyone else recognized him?

Nope. And Betty White was next to him.

It happened too fast to take pics.

Love Pacino in “Devil’s”!
