House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney denounced the baseless, far-right QAnon conspiracy theory Thursday after President Trump embraced its proponents the day before.
“QAnon is dangerous lunacy that should have no place in American politics,” said Ms. Cheney, Wyoming Republican and third-ranking member of the GOP in the House of Representatives.

Having more than a passing awareness and knowledge of Qanon, Cheny’s credibility takes a huge hit when she describes it as dangerous.
And as far as lunacy goes, it’s on par with the USPS conspiracy claims, UFO believers, etc.
How does she attach it to having a place in politics? It’s mosty an accusation that the CIA and foreign government ran an election operation against the United States, to get anybody but Trump, and once in, to get him out. Is that sort of action “poltical” in Cheney’s world?
What about identification of powerful people who engage in illegal perversion? Is that “political?”
How are ideas and theories dangerous? Are we, as sentient beings, not able to filter ideas for ourselves? Are we automotons just waiting for the code word signal? Cheney sounds like an opportunistic idiot.
