Covington Catholic High School graduate Nicholas Sandmann, whose interaction with Omaha Tribe elder Nathan Phillips at the Lincoln Memorial went viral, will speak at the Republican National Convention next week.
The teenager made the announcement in a tweet on Monday night.
"I cant tell you all enough about how excited I am to be apart of this years RNC!" - Nicholas Sandmann
Sandmann announced last month that he had reached a settlement in his defamation lawsuit against The Washington Post over its coverage of his interaction with Phillips last year. Details of the settlement in the $250 million lawsuit were not made public by Sandmanns attorneys or the Post.
Sandmann's lawsuit alleged the newspapers coverage mischaracterized Sandmann's encounter with Phillips, who had participated in the Indigenous Peoples March in Washington, D.C., and tarnished his reputation. Sandmann was in town with classmates from his Kentucky high school for the annual March For Life event.
Sandmann settled a similar $275 million lawsuit against CNN earlier this year.

That is fantastic news!
A young man with a great future in front of him.
This is awesome. Will the Rats book Greta?
I concur.
I hope he applied to Hillsdale as his safety school.
Cause for sure every Liberal college and university is rejecting his application now.
LOL! Last night was a complete snoozefest—and I am a political junkie!
They should book Greta, at least she’ll be interesting.
:) Thank you for the reply.
Somewhere, David Hogg seethes.
At the rate he’s going, he’ll soon be rich enough to be able to pay to start his own school.
...or an ammunition company.
“...or an ammunition company.”
No one has THAT kind of money.
They announced this on WMAL today - said he’s “flying in on his new Personal Jet” - hahaha, thought that was funny ..
How much do you suppose he actually got out of the lawsuits? $250 million and $275 million can’t be anywhere near what he got.
I hope he wears his MAGA hat. Maybe Biden can get that nasty Indian to mumble at the DNC convention and beat his stupid drum in someone’s face..
I’ll be watching the RNC Convention with my pink Trump 2020 hat on, waving my Trump 2020 flag, eating KFC (not really) and waiting to see Nicholas......God bless America!
Wonderful!
Where is David Hogg? I guess his 15 minutes are up.
“I hope he applied to Hillsdale as his safety school”
He will be attending Tulane on scholarship from what he has posted on his Twitters.
While the picture agrees with this "The Hill" statement; "Covington Catholic High School graduate Nicholas Sandmann, whose interaction with Omaha Tribe elder Nathan Phillips at the Lincoln Memorial went viral ...", as usual the writer is economical with the truth. The Covington Catholic (CCHS) students were there for the "Annual March for Life" while another group was there for the "Indigenous Peoples March" (IPM), a first time event AND there was another group, the Black Hebrew Israelites (BHI), who were apparently exercising their free speech rights mainly towards the March-for-Life participants.
These CCHS teens were being hassled by the BHI members when the 'elder' Nathan Phillips (IPM) approached them and stood there beating his drum and singing. Nicholas Sandmann (CCHS)'s 'interaction' was to stand with a smile/smirk while this unknown person 'got in his face' and to then have a picture taken at that moment. As soon as the LEFT MSM got that picture, it was THEM who ALLEGED, on the sole basis of the picture, a report and Phillips' remarks, that this was a RACE CRIME by aggressive white CHRISTIANs against an innocent chanting American Indian. While this narrative, which fit the LEFTist Progressive MSM's prejudices to a 'T' (especially with Sandmann wearing that hat), went worldwide in hours, the reality only trickled out in the following day(s). Amongst other damages, these students were reprimanded by their own Bishop before he, the Bishop, was forced to recant by the further news.
My further beef with this reporter, Joe Concha, is HIS USE of 'ALLEGED' in referring to Sandmann's SETTLED lawsuit against Washington Post. If they settled, they are saying that they paid money to Sandmann in order to not go to trial. Bias much there on the Hill?
