While the picture agrees with this "The Hill" statement; "Covington Catholic High School graduate Nicholas Sandmann, whose interaction with Omaha Tribe elder Nathan Phillips at the Lincoln Memorial went viral ...", as usual the writer is economical with the truth. The Covington Catholic (CCHS) students were there for the "Annual March for Life" while another group was there for the "Indigenous Peoples March" (IPM), a first time event AND there was another group, the Black Hebrew Israelites (BHI), who were apparently exercising their free speech rights mainly towards the March-for-Life participants.

These CCHS teens were being hassled by the BHI members when the 'elder' Nathan Phillips (IPM) approached them and stood there beating his drum and singing. Nicholas Sandmann (CCHS)'s 'interaction' was to stand with a smile/smirk while this unknown person 'got in his face' and to then have a picture taken at that moment. As soon as the LEFT MSM got that picture, it was THEM who ALLEGED, on the sole basis of the picture, a report and Phillips' remarks, that this was a RACE CRIME by aggressive white CHRISTIANs against an innocent chanting American Indian. While this narrative, which fit the LEFTist Progressive MSM's prejudices to a 'T' (especially with Sandmann wearing that hat), went worldwide in hours, the reality only trickled out in the following day(s). Amongst other damages, these students were reprimanded by their own Bishop before he, the Bishop, was forced to recant by the further news.

My further beef with this reporter, Joe Concha, is HIS USE of 'ALLEGED' in referring to Sandmann's SETTLED lawsuit against Washington Post. If they settled, they are saying that they paid money to Sandmann in order to not go to trial. Bias much there on the Hill?
