I havent posted a thread in a few years now, but I hadnt seen this posted already and it seems like it should be getting attention. My apologies if I missed where it has already been posted. Pretty convincing if you believe your own eyes and trumps any 'science' about masks I have seen to date. Its only a 2:55 video.

Wearing a mask is like trying to keep mosquitoes out of your yard with a chain link fence.
For crying out loud.
Wear a mask.
“For crying out loud.
Wear a mask.”
I’ll get to that right after I put on my invisible clothes.
I posted this in another thread:
“A mask is nothing more than a fig leaf. False modesty masquerading as virtue.”
No.
“A mask is like a screen door on a submarine” - newfreep
I’ve seen a couple, this is probably the best and has the best explanation.
Not sure if it will work, but maybe a clickable link...

OK According to the preview, it should...
I think masks are silly and I think this video is a good demonstration.
My question — will surgeons stop wearing masks in the OR? And if not why not?

It’s part of their costume. Get with the program!
I can see it in the OR for the purpose of reducing drool, snot, spit, and sweat falling onto the patient, but for aerosol prevention, it clearly is a fail.
“”For crying out loud.
Wear a mask.””
No thanks Karen.
Nope, and I’m not sure why not. This was mentioned in an article I read 2 or 3 weeks ago.
It was proven a few years ago the masks worn in OR to prevent germs do not work. Germs are much larger than viruses or bacteria. But surgeons will not give up their masks, my guess is pure habit.
So, why do you need to have a q-tip stuck way up your nose for covid testing, causing burning and pain, when those droplets from your mouth could contaminate and infect others within 6 feet?
There’s absolutely no need in most places where the pandemic curve has passed.
There is limited value in hot spots as droplets from people are larger than the virus itself.
Thats a real convincing argument.
Hmmm..you may have a good point there, I hadn’t thought of it...drool, snot, spit...those a mask might stop...
