Alert: Trump says he'll pardon Susan B. Anthony, arrested for voting in 1872 in violation of laws permitting only men to vote
WASHINGTON (AP) Trump says he'll pardon Susan B. Anthony, arrested for voting in 1872 in violation of laws permitting only men to vote.
I think that even a top 3 president in the last 100 years has a history of listening tonthe wrong people and has a history of takimg the wrong advice on policy and hiring.
Who says he wont pardon Assange and Snowden?
Patience, folks.
Timing is everything.
Well, politically,Trump has the female Democrat lt.gov speaking for Susan B Anthony and women everywhere with ‘We Demand’ Trump rescind this pardon.
She threw her ‘as the highest ranking elected official in NY ‘ card as the reason she has authority to speak for Susan B Anthony’s legacy ..
That’s some political impact..
It’s always good for the country to have the left show the electorate how much they think they speak for any and all, even for the dead.
When if Susan B Anthony was alive today, her Pro Life views would have no place in the Democrat Socialist party..
Seriously? You haven’t heard “Javanka”, the combination of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump?
Yes, hundreds of times. It got really old fast, and that was four years ago.
Hey, why dont you call President Trump and the First Lady Dolania?
Get it? A contraction of Donald and Melanie?
Isnt that clever?
I'm not holding my breath. Other than frequently tweeting of the unfairness of it all, President Trump at no time during his term so far has shown any serious effort to take on the Deep State.
This being said, I hope for his sake and ours he's re-elected. He'll have to live in exile in Moscow if he's not. President Kamala Harris will demonstrate that "Lock him up!" is more than just a catchy campaign slogan.

Well, at the rate Assange’s health is failing, it would easily be a Posthumous Pardon, too.
#FreeAssangeNOW
My apologies. I always assume the massive cultural and generational disconnect that exists here on Free Republic.
*looks at what you said about MY Lt. Gov.* She did what? You gotta be kidding.....
*looks it up online* Holy smokes...she DID say that!
Further proof that Dims are full-goose bozo insane.
Ah crap...not MY Lt. Gov...NY Lt. Gov.
I’m in WA...the state.
Pretty hard to accomplish much with BOTH Dems and MANY of the Repubs siding with the DS. Without the House, POTUS has had his hands tied, on much of taking the DS down. Let's hope we do take the House, in November.
This being said, I hope for his sake and ours he's re-elected. He'll have to live in exile in Moscow if he's not.
Interesting. Why would you say Moscow?
True. Even the best Presidents in history are human.
We are all given a lot of advice.
We can either listen to the advice... or,
We can ignore it.
We all take actions and make decisions.
We can either act on our own conscience... or,
We can be someones puppet.
We all make mistakes.
We can either take responsibility for our mistakes...or,
We can blame whoever gave the advice.
I would say that a strong leader (certainly anyone in MY top three US Presidents) would be someone who would...listen to advice and not ignore it, act on his own conscience rather than be a puppet, and take full responsibility for his mistakes rather than blame someone else.
People who think Ivanka and Jared Kushner have undue influence over President Trump, must not have a very high opinion of him as a leader.
California's ballot harvesting laws have ensured that the GOP will never again control the House.
Interesting. Why would you say Moscow?
Where else will he live in exile? I think most Western European countries will refuse and I doubt he wants to live in Latin America. Maybe he could retire to Dubai? But make no mistake, if he loses re-election, he will be in a fight for his freedom. If he thinks he'll be treated with the same courtesies that he has given the Clintons, he's wrong. There will be no quiet retirement to one of his estates. Democratic leaders have vowed on multiple occasions that upon his leaving office, they will pursue criminal charges against President Trump and members of his family.
He had the House the first two years of his term. What good did that do?
Two words, no, three....
LYIN’ Paul Ryan
The usual suspects flock to threads they think they can jump in on, and bash Trump.
We’re at war, with communist Dems and THIS is what they do?
Unreal.
And Kevin McCarthy will be a whole lot better?
No problem...
I can see why it would seem like Id never heard of Javanka when I corrected the name!
Maybe I should have used the sarcasm tag.. but I was more being facetious than sarcastic. Maybe we needs facetious tag.
The real point I was trying to get across was this:
Clearly, Javanka is used as a way of expressing contempt for Ivanka and Jared Kushner - that they are liberals, or neocons or whatever, whose agendas are at odds with the Presidents agenda, and who should not be influencing him.
Thats all fine. But here is my problem... I consider it very disrespectful of President Trump to assume that he is not his own man - that his daughter somehow has daddy wrapped around her little finger. He hardly seems that weak to me.
And also (maybe its just me) Javanka just seems like an unfunny, too-clever and weirdo obsession. I can see turning Hillary into Hitlery. She was the enemy. But this is the Presidents daughter, and she seems like a sweet person to me - a bit of a lefty in some ways, but so what? Give the guy a break... what is he supposed to do, fire her from working for free and publicly call her out for disagreeing?
:-)
I misspoke when I said “yawn to US” .... Trump & what he does is NEVER a yawn to me ... just to clarify.
