My continual prayer is that Trump wins by a fraud-proof margin. 300+ EVs should do it. As long as he takes Florida and Texas, he could potentially take all the states he won in 2016 and lose one state like Pennsylvania, North Carolina or Michigan and still survive. The danger is if he drops two and winds up in rage of another Florida 2000.

Imagine if it turns into a SCOTUS challenge and deciding vote comes down to John Roberts. THAT could launch an uncivil war.

On Election Night 2016, I came home from work in Manhattan and kept the TV and Internet off. My wife and I had a nice dinner, a bottle of wine and we listened to classical music with some candles about the place. I was dreading the worst and wanted to delay the news of Hillary's victory as long as possible.

Finally I peeked in on Free Republic and saw some cause for optimism. Drudge was linking to the NYT site and I was stunned to see the meter slowly and steadily moving Trump's way. Just around 9:30pm, I realized that Trump was going to win based on that NYT website. It was bedlam in my house after that. I must have gone through three bottles of wine and champagne and went to bed about 4:00am only to get up a couple hours later to head back to Manhattan. One of best nights of my life. No hangover whatsoever!

I expect to repeat that on the evening of Nov 3.
