I have mixed emotions concerning the US Postal Service.

On the one hand I believe that private industry could probably do a better and perhaps even less expensive job of delivering the mail.

On the other hand, we have had a governmental run postal service since the beginning of this nation so disbanding it would be difficult to embrace by me as well as many Americans.

Bottom line, it’s a bloated, inefficient, union administered governmental monstrosity that needs to be relegated to history.

We used to have the US Lighthouse Service. It went away. So, too, can the US Post Office.

It’s in the Constitution. It’s not going anywhere.

The issue is their pension requirements are keeping the rest of the Federal Pension system solvent.

All of the post office stuff is BS. They can handle the volume. Most of the ballots won’t go out of their local carrier station.

The weak link is where the votes end up to be counted.
