Did you get any rain/storms overnight? It looked a little rough in your neck o’ da woods earlier.

Most of the bad weather ended up down in Texas. I think I slept through a lot of it last night so.....

We did have another Heat Advisory yesterday so no trip to the lake. I think we're going to be able to do one later today. We'll see.

Yes, Texas got a good dose of rain but I didn’t know if you got some before I pulled up the radar.

Poor Gizmo. Too many days missing out on dragging you all over the place and he doesn’t look very happy. I hope it’s comfy enough for some fun later today so we can see his happy face afterwards. :-)

The area was the site of King Philip’s War, which, because of the population density at the time, had the MOST casualties per capita of ANY war fought on American Soil.

What a great painting! It brought a tear to my eye. Gen James was a great racquetball player. In Feb 1977 he presented me with an award for "Airman of the Year" for Keesler AFB and the Keesler Medical Center. I got to spend a couple of days with him tagging along with his official meetings. My Father was his photographer at Petersen Field in Colorado Springs that year also and Gen James knew him well. My Father was a gruff NCO. In Jan 1978 I was in college at Tennessee when I got the news he had passed from a heart attack.

General James faced Khadafi with a .45 M1911 at the front gate of Wheelus AFB with Khadafi in a tank stating that he might enter but it would be over his dead body. The man was a patriot and brave. Most blacks have no idea who this man was.
