I hope she explained the difference between an actor and the character they portray in the film
And how sometimes writers write things they don’t believe in merely to get people to laugh
These important ideas must be understood before we watch a movie
Fahrenheit 302 is the name. The melting point of polycarbonate.
Candygram for Mongo
Candygram for Mongo
I recently saw a similarly stupid disclaimer/warning on “Caddyshack”.
The girl with the ghetto bro hairstyle, I can’t imagine anybody wearing that hairstyle and thinking how cool am I. When she comes on my TV the channel gets changed.
No worries about that.
What’s next? The Blues Brothers? Animal House?
“Mel Brooks made the statement that he could not make that movie today.”
Yes he did. He also could not have made “History of the World (Part One) or “Space Balls” and probably “Frankenstein”
Don Rickles would have been arrested.
Comedy is d-e-a-d!
If you are so stupid you need Blazing Saddles explained to you, or worse need to EXPLAIN Blazing Saddles, you are too stupid to watch movies of any kind.
Okay, but Howard Johnson’s is real. Right?
“Woke liberals have to be told that its a parody. Which tells you all you need to know about woke liberals.”
Proggies, the woke and many women just don’t get parody, irony or sarcasm (in others). Can’t meme, either.
What’s next? Will they start selling indulgences like the Catholic Church used to do? “I’d like a case of N words and two packs of White Privilege.”
They should stop the film after each joke and have Whoopi Goldberg explain why you should not have laughed.
Seinfeld has said he cannot do his comedy on college campuses. Consider that. Must see TV cannot be performed on college campuses.
Same here. I bought Blazing Saddles and Gone With the Wind.
It is so pathetic that they people are so dense that they dont understand Blazing Saddles was very anti-racist.
Do we have to explain EVERYTHING to the modern dummies? Cant they figure anything out on their own?
For years I thought the character played by Alex Karras was named “Mongol”, as in `fierce unstoppable warrior’.
Not many today will recognize the play on the name of bandleader Mongo Santamaria when the frightened Mexican utters his full name.
Tactical note: nowadays when somebody calls you a racist, the word they really mean is `target’.
Not that but a Social score is being created to be used here. China already has it.
Maybe have her and orca wimpfree rotate explanations?
