Same here. I bought Blazing Saddles and Gone With the Wind.
It is so pathetic that they people are so dense that they dont understand Blazing Saddles was very anti-racist.
Do we have to explain EVERYTHING to the modern dummies? Cant they figure anything out on their own?
“...Do we have to explain EVERYTHING...” Let us know how your head feels after bashing it against that brick wall for hours. We’ll send tylenol. :-)
They are so dumb.
I saw it many years ago. I did think parts of it were funny. But I also remember walking out before the end because I did feel like it was kind of racist. I wasn't trying to protest. That's just the impression I got from it.
I remember one scene where the town had a welcome sign for the new sheriff and when they see that he is black, the sign rolls up like an old window shade. OK, that part is funny and maybe "anti-racist" as you say. But something else about the overall film didn't seem right to me. I just checked and they did have at least one black writer: Richard Pryor. Maybe I'm just a snowflake.

the perpetually offended do not want to understand- they want to be offended
