We’re helping people who need help now. We’ll pay for the help over the next few years either with existing money or new money (inflation).
I don’t mind giving the help. I’m even receiving help that I didn’t ask for and don’t need. As an aside, I’m not giving it back.

At the current price of silver, that 20 pounds sterling is about $9000 a year. I don’t know if in Bronte’s time, a pound sterling’s value was actually 1 pound of sterling silver. I know that at one point in history, it was.
Yeah, I’ve had my eye on a new 65” flat screen and $1,200 will more than cover it.
I bought a new Winchester 350 Legend with the last one, and it is shooting 3/4” groups @ 100 yds.

The democrats are trying to create as much pain as possible for election purposes. The President is thwarting that by easing that pain a little, stimulating the economy and not creating any long term policy.
Deal making and politically this is great. Puts the dems on the hot seat.

Just like the last time, up to $1200 per individual plus $500 per child. Family of four, $1200 husband, $1200 wife, $500 first child, $500 second child. Total $3400.
OBTW, Trump needs congressional approval to do this. Rumors are dems agree with these checks and more aid to small businesses.
I get that part. I suggested Trump put out a list of UI, eviction, and direct payments back when the Senate and the House were jerking off.
The way the tweet is worded is the issue. “Directing” Mnuchin to get ready to send payments sounds like Trump is doing this on his own. We understand what he’s saying, but there’s too many idiots and morons trying to be idiots out there that could take advantage of the confusion. Similar to the way they intentionally confuse absentee and bulk mail ballots.
