Reagan speechwriter Ken Khachigian alerted Reagan alumni, of which I am one, that in listening to Joe Bidens introduction of running mate Senator Kamala Harris he heard ahhhhh something familiar. Specifically, it was this as seen here:
Said Joe:
We can define America simply in one word: Possibilities. Possibilities. Let me say it again; possibilities. Thats America.
Ken, one of the crack speechwriters for President Reagan, knew exactly where he had heard this talk of America and possibilities before. It was September 3, 1984, where the President was speaking at a ReaganBush campaign rally in Fountain Valley, California. Said Reagan:
Now, weve heard what others have offered to the American people today, in this year. They have said that America is nothing if it isnt promises. Well, America isnt about promises; it never has been. America is about promise. Its about possibility.
Recall that 1987 a full 33 years ago was when Joe Biden was running his first race for president. The campaign of Democratic rival Governor Michael Dukakis revealed that Biden had been plagiarizing from British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock. The Dukakis people put together this devastating side-by-side video comparison of Biden and Kinnock saying the identical words and the Biden plagiarizing scandal was launched:

For those who haven’t seen the Biden 1988 video—where he gets caught plagiarizing and lying and plagiarizing and lying again..

No, no, no. You got that all wrong, Reagan’s speech writer stole that from Biden.
Joseph Biden you get an F for coping from your neighbors work...and don’t whine at me young man...
I think Lord is great. Really talented.
But this is stretching the idea of plagiarism to the most pedestrian of common thoughts and utterances.
Just too far.
Democraps plagiarize because they cannot understand patriotism, you can spend countless hours explaining it to them but they’ll never understand, all they understand is power like most sociopaths. They’re like sociopaths who have no concept of emotion, so they imitate other people like Al Gore when he gave that big kiss to Tipper on stage.
Context is everything.
If Slo Joe didn’t have a previous pattern of plagiarizing, I agree you could not make the case on this one utterance.
I remember back in the 1988 campaign when I first heard about the Kinnock plagiarism by Biden—I thought it was no big deal.
But—after it turned out that Biden plagiarized constantly from a bunch of folks, then there was a pattern that was hard to miss.
Essentially this comes down to the use of one word. Probably most people aren’t going to see that as plagiarism. But Biden should have credited Reagan.
Our most talented President ever. Actor, Statesman, Lifeguard, Union President, and now, Welsh Coal Miner.
"Factcheckers" in the Democrat Media conspiracy: "No, Biden dinnt!!!"
“I’ve done some dumb things - and I’ll do them again!” - Joe Bidet
Once a plagiarizer, always a plagiarizer.
Biden is trying to solidify his creds in the San Joaquin Valley.
-—not advisable to pull a sneaky trick on the Armenian speechwriters.
Thanks for posting this article.
Except you’d have to believe that Joe is capable of contributing that coherent an utterance to his campaign at this point.
In politics, once a plagiarist always a plagiarist, even after getting caught. It’s like an addiction.
Notorious British leftist Neil Kinnock.
Biden thought that guy’s neo-Communist ideas sounded like something he’d support.
In 1988!
Yes, it is a stretch to call this plagiarism based on one word.
More importantly, its an unnecessary distraction, when we have so many other issues that matter to voters to talk about.
Ah, so Biden is not really in mental decline. He just started plagiarizing Alzheimer’s-era Reagan!
