Marion County Public Health Director Dr. Virginia Caine said the county’s most recent seven-day positivity rate (July 28 through Aug. 3) sits at 9.2%.
Caine said it appears that rate is starting to decline for the next seven-day period.
Caine said daily testing has increased to around 2,500 tests per day.
In the past week, hospital admissions have also decreased, down to about 18 patients per day, Caine said.
Emergency room visits have also started declining.

Here in the formerly friendly home town of San Antonio), the wonderful intelligent mayor is on the verge of fining anyone who is not wearing a mask in public a whopping $2,000. I think we need some paid demonstrators to stand on the sidewalk of his Hacienda and bank pots and pans, use loud speakers and paint the street some obscure phrase.

Who decides what a “full menu” is? Near me, there’s one restaurant that only serves soup and bread. That’s it. Is that a full menu? There’s another restaurant that only serves grilled cheese sandwiches. Do they qualify? Who decides?
