Mayor of Louisville caves to reasonable demands for law and order
WDRB ^ | August 10, 2020 | Katrina Helmer

Mayor Greg Fischer said the Louisville Metro Police Department releasing its rules of engagement will be beneficial to protect everyone, whether protesting or not.

After a press conference Monday, Fischer addressed weekend protests and LMPD’s announcement that the department would more strictly enforce existing laws. He said it is important to define what is permissible in order to prevent “unnecessary interaction” between police and protesters.

Finally! Nobody should ever be allowed to block a public street. Should be arrested as soon as they step foot in the road.

Citizens should institute a tax strike.

That BS creates an imminent danger to everyone driving and riding on that road.

We need serious and quick judicial action beginning with the immediate arrest of anyone blocking any public road.

Then serious jail time for blocking a road and endangering any travelers/riders on the blocked road.

“Then serious jail time for blocking a road and endangering any travelers/riders on the blocked road.”

And no charges against anyone running “protesters” over.

Certainly there should be no liability for the driver and the rioters run over should have to pay for any damage to the car.

Yes, as that would have been self defense for the driver and any riders he or she might have had.

“the rioters run over should have to pay for any damage to the car.”

The ultimate warning to never block any public road again!

Yup, too little too late. Dem state Gov and this idiot Dem city mayor (on his last term, I should note) have let protesters walk through this city largely unopposed for months. We had ONE week of National Guard presence and a “curfew” that wasn’t enforced worth a shit. Now after LMPD put up on their FB page livestream coverage the last two days of protesters surrounding innocents in vehicles, kicking dents in said vehicles, and running through Fourth Street Live (entertainment district) screaming at dinner patrons and practically chasing them out, he decides to crack down. Problem is, this action is way too little too late and all it’s done is piss off the rabid protesting mob. Restaurants are at 25% capacity, bars have to close early, but last weekend we had protesters BUSSED IN FROM GEORGIA and city/state leaders didn’t even f**king blink. Wait till the Breonna Taylor investigation results come out, mark my words, if things aren’t to this mob’s liking this city is going to burn and it will be all these idiot Dems fault.

I doubt seriously that the Dem voters in Louisville and Jefferson County will ever connect it to the Rats running the city and county. Maybe they need to put up more "just be kind" yard signs and more "coexist" bumper stickers. Has Dem congressman for life John Yarmuth had anything to say about the current situation? Other than WDRB weather and some WDRB news, I ignore Louisville news as much as possible.

It’s a perfect storm, isn’t it?

And now Linda Sarsour is in town. She rates right next to Hillary and Nanzi as the most evil woman in America.

The rank and file Louisvillian is really fed up with this crap. I’d like to think it will change some minds in November, but cognitive dissonance is such a potent force with demonrats, who knows?

At the time I was joking with my daughter and said I was going to walk down the sidewalk on Bardstown Road in the Highlands with a Sarah Palin cap on. She got a little bit concerned and said don’t do that, you’re liable to get beat up.

You have him as mayor and Beshear as governor - horrible combination. It is a wonder things aren’t even worse here.

Not sure if he's gone on Terry Meiners show on WHAS lately to get the Terry love or not, I try to avoid that as much as possible cause it's gross. And you're right, they won't connect it to the Dems, I'm meaning if those cops aren't arrested and tried I honestly think the mob is going to explode. This little piddly stuff LMPD's done the past few days (and don't get me wrong it's not them I blame, it's the shitty city leadership not backing the cops. Doesn't help we have an interim police chief cause they "fired" the last one that was due to retire in a month) isn't enough to hold back the protesters. They should have had a firm spanking from day one, but they didn't so here we are.
