The “windy city” is blowing a stench. I guess the majority of the voters want this kind of uncivil BS. Oh, well. More popcorn!!! Sit back and enjoy the show. After all..they are “mostly peaceful”.

Delivery trucks can’t deliver their goods to liquor stores either.

Is it time to leave Blue Cities in America?

And the Magnificent Mile is actually north of the river so bridge closings wouldn't exactly shut it off from the rest of Chiraq. Maybe my recall of my visit there isn't exact but I did find this friendly map of the stretch.

Both Good news and bad news for the non rioters, who might need a good drink.

George Soros is warming up right now.

If he did, he's be doing it quietly and away from everybody, just like he does the quiet and hidden funding for BLM and Antifa and all the rioters and looters.

lightfoot was elected to promote the good of the city, not to preside over its destruction.

We are likely to see a real change in modern cities and their roles in our lives. Brick and mortar retail was on its last legs anyway and now have little incentive to maintain expensive, vulnerable stores in the downtown urban cities rather than relying on on-line sales. Now, with coronovirus issues, even professional and corporate offices are finding out people can work from home and are questioning a need to have a “prestigious” office downtown that can be shut down at political whims or looted without defense. Fewer offices and stores mean fewer eateries, bars and entertainment venues. Meanwhile traditional city magnets such as museums, theaters, symphonies and professional athletic events have turned off a large proportion of their patrons due to out of control political correctness. I just wonder if places like Chicago, Baltimore, Portland, Seattle, New York City and Milwaukee can truly come back after this. Why should those chased or burned out want to come back?

The idea to raise the bridges and block the Expressway exits was the idea of Mayor Richard J. Daley in 1968. The original Mayor Daley would have ended the Protests after the first night.

The bridges weren’t raised even though the PD had a heads up and they weren’t raised until the looting had been going on for hours.

Explain THAT, Groot.

An A-10 or perhaps a few Apache helicopters or maybe a couple of drones with Hellfire missiles could take the profit right out of that kind of operation.

Police in Democrat hellholes are told to 'stand down' so 'peaceful protestors' can intimidate, loot, and bully citizens.

It's a tactic to get Biden elected. "Hey yous don't want you city burned down, right? Then pay us - oops 'elect' us..."

Protection rackets are as old as evil... the 'mayors' have to start objecting because the original plan never included them being blamed...

The original Mayor Daley would have ended the Protests after the first night.

Those were the days, my friend. As a boy of 12, I still remember the images of Chicago during the 1968 DNC Convention. The hippies were allowed nearly free reign in Grant Park, but once they took to the streets, the gloves came off the cops. The mayor was not about to let him sully the good name of his town, much less join in like today's idiot mayor.

Even though Daley was a corrupt machine politician who helped JFK steal the 1960 election, he knew where to draw the line. I respected him for that.
