Cool! They ought to write those stories down and share them. To this day, the left blames Daley for the show of force which shocked the public and narrowly elected Nixon that year. From what I've read, the Mayor's actions contained the crap so well that the election was actually close or it would have been more like 1972.

I have hopes (and dreams) that there is enough of real America left that we will see a similar result in 2020. Had a visit my nephew and sister-in-law over the weekend. My brother is a good conservative, but she is a Bernie Sanders lefty. I was tickled pink when she volunteered that the mobs in Seattle and Portland were idiots wanting to abolish the police departments there and she was seriously considering voting for the Donald to send them a message.
