Chicago police arrested more than 100 people as looting and riots spread through the city’s downtown retail corridors overnight, CPD Supt. David Brown said this morning. The uprising was sparked by incorrect information about a police-involved shooting in the Englewood neighborhood on Sunday, Brown said.
Today, “criminals took to the street with confidence there would be no consequences,” Brown said, as he pointed to Foxx’s dismissal of earlier cases while not mentioning her by name. “We have to have consequences for the arrests Chicago police officers make.”
“Put your best people on this,” Lightfoot said in a message apparently intended for Foxx. “These people need to be held accountable…We can’t do it alone. We need the courts and the prosecution to step up.”

From what I have read and seen in videos this was a very well orchestrated “uprising” that had nothing to do with any police action. It did have everything to do with lax/nonexistent prosecution of other such crimes as well as constant race baiting by the Left.

Even the fictional characters of the fictional tv series,”Chicago PD” would not take on this looting challenge.
After the rapping duck got killed on Oak Street last week, rumor was that many store owners on the Gold Coast were talking of breaking their leases, and damn the consequences. This morning (and especially after hearing from their insurance providers), I suspect that’s becoming a done deal.
And a crack has opened in the Dyke, as Mare Litewaite wants action.
