Commissioners of the Power 5 conferences held an emergency meeting on Sunday, as there is growing concern among college athletics officials that the upcoming football season and other fall sports can't be played because of the coronavirus pandemic, sources told ESPN.
No major decisions were made on Sunday night, but multiple sources in several Power 5 conferences have told ESPN the commissioners talked about trying to collaborate if their respective presidents do decide to cancel or postpone fall sports.

Oh yeah, and please cancel it because without football, many of our institutes of higher indoctrination will be absolutely financially destroyed. Please colleges, continue to join the lemming line and jump off that cliff. Die a horrible, self-inflicted death. Do it for the good of the children!!!
The July jobs numbers came out. And voila, the push to cancel everything because of COVID has kicked into high gear. Next up will be the stories about how, suddenly, every child who has so much as a skinned knee is a Covid case.
But looting and rioting in our cities is A-OK.
School or a football game? Not so much. That’s dangerous!!
Hell, I hope they don’t cancel so they can take it in the shorts from a lack of viewers.

I hope the Crimson Knights are in the conference, they thound fearthome.
People will realize they don’t need sports. Although it’s a convenient excuse to get drunk and make a fool of yourself.
The Power 5: Big Ten, ACC, SEC, Big 12, PAC-12, which, if they cancel will all merge into the Big Weenie.
The Universities, for all their poo poooing if that barbaric football, rely on it to subsidize the other sports and for a ton of revenue.
I truly am enjoying watching the Colleges all commit suicide. And don’t think this has one thing to do with health. Cancelling for to Covid has become the politically correct action of the day.
But as long as they are killing them selves, I fully encourage them to do it.
When the left is actively trying to overthrow the country and destroy your livelihood, it seems unintelligent for one to prioritize watching a football game on TV.

I love College Football but fear it is not long for this world.

They should play it in the spring, get through this BS and start play after NFL season, start mid Jan and play through March before baseball, playoffs during spring break.
I think you missed the point. The point is that the system of higher education in this country is burning the fire the Dems have set. Even better, they are throwing themselves into the fire.
Without football, and I will be just fine without football, they will financially destroy themselves. I do we how many of these six figure lefty profs have figured out yet that without revenue the colleges can pay their salaries, tenure or no tenure?

The luxury goods market also depends on College Football for revenue. Where are all of the Thug players going to get their Gold Rolex watches if there is no college football?
But the biggest hit will be taken by Cadilac - 1000’s of Escalades will not be given away to College “Star” athletes for signing with a School. The economy will suffer.
No, they can’t. For the good of the children, the women, the disadvantaged and poor, they should cancel it for, like, ever. Sometimes in the name of social justice one must eat a bullet. For the children, think of the children!!!
The economy will take a hit but the revenue to the colleges will be exponentially higher.

Take away that revenue stream and colleges will quickly find out they'll have to scale back on the useless degrees.

I happy to say my wife and I finally joined the club and we don’t miss it at all. I have Sirius XM so I got to listen to Life, Liberty and Levine last night.
Yep, without alumni and legislative support tied mainly to sports the budgets will decline significantly. Can not wait for it to happen.
