Is that what I felt here in Gainesville Georgia? Small undulations of my chair. Thought my subwoofer was malfunctioning.

we are a little west of Murrayville, and have been up since 0630. Felt nothing.
In US east coast time, when was the earthquake?

we were sitting on the back deck drinking coffee and looking at the lake at that time. We would have noticed a quake.

Unless its over 6.5 it isnt nothing. That depends on where you are, if you're on thixotropic soil the number is lower, if you're in an area crisscrossed by multiple faults, each of which acts like a circuit breaker for the motion, the number is higher.

Lived in Japan for 15 years and now live in the Philippines for almost 20 years. And only one scared me and it was a 7.3.

It was kinda cool. Not a roller here in Cabarrus County but a couple of jolts. Shook the china and water moved.
Quake located about 100mi NNW
I just hope folks near the center are OK.
