And of course the parents of the perp are obviously not happy which is no surprise. So, why weren't they caring for him? Circumstances are so vast there isn't an easy answer.

This could have been prevented by taking a few extra minutes or hour to talk him down if that’s what it would take. In our opinion it did not look like a hostage situation, rather Andrew leaning on his friend for support because it appeared that he was is some way hurt.

I understand that the family is in pain, but saying something this stupid should make you the subject of ridicule, no matter how much grief you are experiencing at the moment.
