If the 2020 Presidential election were held today, 43 percent of voters would vote for former Vice President Joe Biden while 40 percent would chose President Trump, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee's lead fell from a 7 percentage points in a July 17-20 survey to 3 percentage points in this August 2-5 poll.
Five percent of voters said they would cast their ballots for someone else if the election were held today, while 3 percent said they do not plan to vote.
Nine percent of registered voters in the poll are still unsure.
The survey found Trump made gains among voters in two key demographics.
Support among Midwestern voters rose from 38 percent two weeks ago to 42 percent in this most recent poll. Support for Biden among the same group fell from 45 percent to 39 percent.
The president also edges out Biden among independents in the latest poll, with 35 percent support, a 4 percentage point increase from last survey.
By contrast, 33 percent of independents prefer Joe Biden as their candidate for president.

3% would actually be pretty good, that likely would mean Trump would win the electoral college, polls only measure popular vote support and most polling experts say because of the way democrats run up huge margins of the popular votes in states like California and New York, Trump could lose the popular vote by as much as 4% and still win the election.

the President is beating Sleepy Joe and the Dems bad with the ground game... Bill Stepien has moved Trump to capture the middle.
idk but this is good news tightening, i’m still concerned because economy usually dictates presidential elections and Dems will cheat
and in that vein here’s something interesting from the Fischer Investment Newsletter-unless the Democrat candidate is already president then they haven’t won once with the candidate expected from 4 years ago-has to be fresh face-they explain it better:

So this is “registered” and not “likely” voters.
These numbers are great for Trump.
Read this one real close! Trump is AHEAD in the midwest, think like Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa. If Trump sweeps these, the election is over, (unless Biden somehow pulls a rabbit out of his rear end and wins Texas or something equally as unlikely)
Still polling registered voters though.

The basement strategy isn’t doing it Joey. He has anger management issues when someone challenges him on anything. Trump hasn’t even laid a glove on him yet. Biden is still a blowup artist.
Me thinks those “Defund the Police” ads have been very effective.
OK...it’s over. Stay home. The 50-year elected-office parasite deserves it more.
So the President could afford to lose PA and still win.
