Teachers unions in cities throughout the country joined with socialist organizations to demand more funding for government schools and an end to systemic racism before they agree to in-school instruction.
The groups dubbed Monday a National Day of Resistance, as they demonstrated in cities such as Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles.
I think that the Black Lives Matter [movement], in conjunction with the pandemic, it kind of illuminated all of the inequalities that take place in the black community with all of the lack of resources, the disinvestment in communities of color, Nina Hike, a high school chemistry teacher in Chicago, said, according to NBC News.
And then, now just the lack of resources even to get [an] education, she added. Nothing about being in a pandemic is normal. Nothing about dealing with racism is normal.

Keep public school teachers away from children.
Do we have a working definition of systemic racism, yet?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
What a great time to Clear the Deck of these malcontents.
There should be national policy / testing* to screen teachers from their political bias.
They demand an end to systemic racism.
It is imaginary. Its like demanding an end to pixie dust. You cant see it, smell it, observe it, or hear it. How the hell do you end something imaginary?
I know! Lets herd all white people into re-education programs about the evil of being born white. We can have public confessions to start, then work our way up to public beheadings for being white.
This is becoming reverse apartheid where the 12% are going to rule over all of the rest of us.
Schools are already overfunded in most parts of the country. The reason the teachers feel the pinch is most of the money never trickles down to them. Bloated school and school district administrations suck up most of the money and little actually makes it down to the teachers.
DC is a great a example. DC public schools spend about $27,000 per student per year. In a classroom of 30 students, that’s $810,000. Does anyone think DC public school teachers are making $800,000 per year? Of course not, because there would be a line out the door halfway to Nashville to get those jobs. Instead, it’s $78,477, which sounds like a lot until you consider DC’s cost of living and the insanity one must deal with to be a teacher in DC (much of that insanity thanks to the administration).
Taxpayer fed, socialist, tapeworm parasites demanding and even greater share of your small intestine
Ferris is in the restroom.
In other words, we demand to not be taken seriously.
Systemic racism? Are they talking about favoring black over white candidates for jobs?
Anything that Whites are better than Blacks in.
Medicine, Engineering, business, impulse control...
Just fire them.

Start with the school administrators first. They are the ones that hire the teachers. Most of them, not all, come the ranks of teachers who want a better paycheck. Its funny the average teacher salary takes 10 years to get to until then the average teacher makes less than the average salary for teachers. So they end up in administration where they become below average administrators telling at or below average teachers how to do their job or face the consequences. Teachers no longer get the summer off as they are required to work on professional activities during this time and most start one to two months before school starts creating lesson plans and go over teacher stuff. Pay teachers more money and you will attract better professionals. As long as a teacher starts out at 35K per year and then it takes 10 years to reach average salary with all the stress the job comes with, inconsiderate students, non-participatory parent(s), incompetent administration etc. teachers are well under paid for what they do and is the reason it attracts the level of teacher we have today.
Hmmmmm. Let me get okra wimpfree’s comment and I’ll get back to you. LOL!
I demand an end to Systemic Communism.

If you want to shut them up, just WHAT — SPECIFICALLY — do they want done? Anti discrimination laws and policies? Already there. Social inhibitions against discriminatory speech. Already in place.
What do they want? We know what they REALLY want - socialism and destruction of the American family and social structure that built the greatest civilization ever seen in the history of mankind.
But make them repeat it.
I DEMAND an end to systemic dumbassery but............crickets!
