Thirty-four people were shot, nine fatally, over the weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.
On August 2, 2020, Breitbart News reported 21 people had been shot, six fatally, Friday through Saturday afternoon alone.
On Monday morning the Chicago Sun-Times reported the weekend concluded with at least 34 shot, nine fatally.
NBC5 reported the fatal shootings began with someone opening fire shortly after 6 p.m. Friday on a nine-year-old boy who was playing in a parking lot. The boy was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital.

Yep....It’s just Chicago ‘being’ Chicago. Shooting and crime is part of the very nature of that city.
The bigger problem is the wounded who WE will most likely be supporting for the immediate future.
Also, if the shootings cease etc, it will be bad for the Funeral business and all its related enterprises, hearses, rental cars, florists, grievance cards, stores that sell the ‘black Sunday go to meeting clothes’ and stretch it out to the ammunition sellers and suppliers..
This blight is deeper than the surface.
Another poster mentions the restrictions on bars..
MOST anyone who knows anything about bars knows that if a stranger walks in it is very unlikely he will sit next to someone, definitely unlikely he will sit between two people, interaction is slight at first.
The exception being if the place real crowded but the ‘newbie’ would probably opt out.
So WHY are they restricting bars?
I personally like the ‘keep your distance’ rule, I was for that prior as well as not being a ‘hugger’ and think ‘high 5s’ are foolish.
As to my NOT masking up, if you keep your 6’ distance from me we should be fine, I will definitely continue to keep distance between ‘US’...

Heart-breaking tragedy, all jokes aside. I cannot imagine being condemned to living in such a hell hole. I pray that God leads these poor people to make choices that will deliver them from this evil.

It sounds like death by violence or gunfire has a higher fatality rate in Chicago than the dreaded Chinese virus.

But it seems like 80% of crimes they take on are done by white people...Can’t really show the true story, I guess...
Only 36 homicides away from the 2019 total of 490, with almost 5 months to go. Will they exceed the 762 of 2016?
