American politics has become toxic. The civil war is being fought at all levels from the street to the floor of the House and Senate. It has infected the courts where you can predict the outcome of a case by knowing the party that appointed the judge. As much as I detest Obama I think that continuing on this path will be destructive to the nation. We can, I believe, win the political fight at the ballot box and then restructure the government so that no one can again do what the Democrats have done. If Obama gets prosecuted and jailed he will become the icon of his side. Better to sideline him and his politics than to make him into a new flashpoint.

Ford pardoned Nixon because prosecuting presidents is bad for the country. It is better to make whatever they did impossible or unlikely under succeeding presidents. That’s not as satisfactory as watching Obama get perp- walked into prison, but it is better in the long run for the Republic.

I generally re, and think the way to handle it is to actually prosecute high-level lieutenants like Holder, Rice, and Lerner, with Obama named as an un-charged co-conspirator.

American politics has become toxic.

For the MOST part; haven't they ALWAYS been?

“We can, I believe, win the political fight at the ballot box...”

Polyanna...don’t forget cheating and the profound ignorance of at least half the voters.

I respect your point of view but I disagree with it. NOTHING but NOTHING in our AMERICAN history rivals the damage to America done by Obama therefore his ACCOUNTABILITY via imprisonment is the best path for the long term future of the US. YES that will upset about 40% of the over 18 population of the US. But, so did the Civil War. And so does Abortion, and the Vietnam War and on and on. Arguably, if Obama were 100% white, he would already be in Leavenworth. Exemption for prosecution due to skin color is not in the Constitution.

Persons in US history whose traitorous behavior was actually caught and penalized, and that falls under the same behavior category as Obama’s, are Julius and Ethyl Rosenberg who were executed when Ike refused clemency.

Jonathan Pollard was locked up for 30 years. Benedict Arnold has been a pariah throughout American History. Nidal Malik Hassan is under sentence of death at this moment. Iva Toguri D Aquino, an American Citizen and one of the Tokyo Rose’s, was arrested and imprisoned for 6 years. Robert Hansen, former FBI agent, was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole on spying charges for the KGB. John Walker Jr, perhaps the worst EVER traitor to the US died in prison approximately 30 years after going to prison.

In my opinion, Obama has done FAR MORE damage to the US than all the traitors in US History and therefore, for the long term benefit to the US as THE Poster Boy for what happens to traitors, Obama should be imprisoned in the same cell block adjacent to Malik where he could see the sun one hour a day until he passes from this earth.

“prosecuting presidents is bad for the country.”

It’s worse for the country to allow crimes to go unpunished. Crimes are crimes no matter who commits them — even a halfrican. We have no fair country if the top echelon is allowed to skate. Hillary also needs to be tried, convicted, and incarcerated.
