everyone in any position of power, and I mean everyone, is petrified of ticking off the so called karens (I detest both the term and those it describes with a passion)...they are in complete control of governing principles...
That’s true. And the Karen’s are everywhere and will attack personally. They carried on a campaign on Nextdoor - which I no longer even read- attacking a local restaurant that didn’t force people or staff to wear masks even before the mayor issued his idiotic order, and they were completely vicious. I pointed out that they didn’t have to eat there and in fact they could stay home and order in, and let the rest of us do as we wished. Boy, was that unpopular! And they were completely vicious, to the point that I was afraid they’d get my home address. Most of them, judging form their comments, were probably middle-aged liberal women.
