The number of people in the US killed by the coronavirus surpassed 150,000 on Wednesday, according to new data.
Americans account for nearly a quarter of the more-than 660,000 people killed by the virus worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University.
Brazil has the second-highest number of coronavirus deaths around 88,500 followed by the United Kingdom, which has almost 46,000 fatalities.
The US nationwide death toll is more than three times the number of Americans killed in World War I.

Its a good think the USA has forbidden Covid patients from using Hydroxychloroquine + Zinc. Can you imagine how many deaths we would have? /s
And if the Democrats were in charge we wouldn’t even be aware of this pandemic.
Re: “How many people die annually from the regular flu?”
The most in the last 10 years was 61,000 in 2018.
I think the lowest was 12,000 in 2012.
COVID deaths and flu and common cold deaths are not counted the same way.
Presumed (untested) COVID deaths are counted as confirmed COVID deaths.
Presumed (untested) flu and common cold deaths are not counted.
Also, 100% of pneumonia + COVID deaths are counted as COVID deaths.
But, less than 10% of pneumonia + flu deaths are counted as flu deaths.
If the CDC counted flu and common cold deaths the same way it counts COVID deaths, we would have 150,000 flu and common cold deaths EVERY year!
230000 deaths per month from all causes, every month All to amount to 2.8 million people per year in the good old USofA. Show me a bump in that and thatll be your wohan flu number less those lives taken by senseless violent behavior by butt hurt enabled pay backers.
Consider 10 percent of the tests are positive , and anybody with a headache now is testing, so that 10 percent is a good metric of how many people have the virus ( compared to periodontal disease 40 percent).
Consider on average 8,000 people die in the USA from all causes.
Therefore with 10 percent of the population infected, 10 percent of all death certificates can be labeled now as chineeee flu.. 800 per day die with ( as opposed from ) or 50,000 excess deaths are being added to the doomsday tally every two months ...
Typically in an honest year a flu kills 50,000 , pneumonia another 50,000 , and flu season ends by June,, but not so this year, they added both chineee flu and pneumonia that peaked back late April, and since then they have been included 800 per day ,,, bingo we get 150,000.
Chineee flu is real new virus , counts of people who died with instead of from the virus are a phony !
its actually less than 10% of that number if the Illinois director of public health is to be believed:

Agreed, several cities /counties are cooking the books for more money.
Patriots need to be vigilant concerning the accuracy of COVID-19 death rates, particularly in this Orange Man Bad election year.
Send “Orange Man Bad” federal and state government desperate Democrats and RINOs home in November!
Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a “third term” in office imo.
Total BS number.
When the test is designed to yield false positives and every positive result ends up being recorded as 36 cases, this is bound to happen.
Not when President Trump announces the approval of a safe and effective vaccine. The Democrats are sunk when that happens. I’m guessing sometime around late October for that little surprise!
Sure it is. Except for those pesky heart attacks, strokes, cancer, over weights, etc. that died and happened to have a small bit of the disease, makes it death by the disease not the heart attack. The heart was secondary. Weakened by the virus. Not that the virus does not harm folks, but just MAKING UP DEATHS TO TALLY THEIR LYING TOLL, is just stupidly wrong.
I would hope that is true and I will be in line to take the vaccine. But, then there are all those out there (many on this discussion board) that have been sucked into believing vaccines are always bad and will not take this vaccine. That could be a problem and allow this virus to continue to cause problems. I think other therapies which are on the way and hopefully before a vaccine hits the market should help overcome this.
The anti-vax extremists are a tiny but very vocal portion of the population as a whole. We don’t need 100% of the population vaccinated to stop this thing. We need something more like 70% or 75% for herd immunity. Somewhere around 13% of the US population has likely already had COVID-19, so those people likely don’t even need the vaccine.
Besides, all we need is the announcement from President Trump and the election is over. On election day, voters will have a choice between the hero who ended COVID-19 and Joe Biden, who’s hiding in a bunker with advanced dementia. It’s going to be a landslide victory.

Good points.
The US has so much more obesity than found in crowded and squalid slums in the rest of the world. So the virus may transmit there (and I doubt that anyway as slums are more “outdoor” and its 20x harder to transmit it outside). Obesity seems to be the #1 risk factor for covid death after age.
Therefore the oldest and fattest nations would seem at risk for more deaths. . .
If 60% of the United States agrees to take one of the developed vaccines, and 40% doesn’t, that would likely be enough to get to herd immunity I’d think.
We don’t need 100% compliance. Some compliance combined with those who don’t comply but already had it should suffice.
