Drones of all sizes are being used by environmental advocates to monitor deforestation, by conservationists to track poachers, and by journalists and activists to document large protests. As a political sociologist who studies social movements and drones, I document a wide range of nonviolent and pro-social drone uses in my new book, The Good Drone. I show that these efforts have the potential to democratize surveillance.
But when the Department of Homeland Security redirects large, fixed-wing drones from the U.S.-Mexico border to monitor protests, and when towns experiment with using drones to test people for fevers, its time to think about how many eyes are in the sky and how to avoid unwanted aerial surveillance. One way thats within reach of nearly everyone is learning how to simply disappear from view."

How to disappear
The first thing you can do to hide from a drone is to take advantage of the natural and built environment. Its possible to wait for bad weather, since smaller devices like those used by local police have a hard time flying in high winds, dense fogs and heavy rains.
Trees, walls, alcoves and tunnels are more reliable than the weather, and they offer shelter from the high-flying drones used by the Department of Homeland Security.

It almost seems that the article was written to help the protesters avoid being recognized.
Remove battery, wrap in tin foil, wrap that in towel, place into metal ammo box.
ANT&FA thugs use unbrellas so that they can get the drop on the coppers when they decide to start using guns (same purpose as the fireworks).
...in another town, wearing a pillow under your oversized logger shirt. And a baseball cap with fake dreadlocks in the back.

That list is gonna be pretty long before it is all said and done, buddy...
And a little drool never hurts.
As one of my local PD friends told me, discharging a firearm in the city limits is a Class B misdemeanor.
I asked him about using a shotgun on a drone that was over our backyard while my wife was swimming in our pool! He told me that was a really BAD idea based on our local laws.
Depending on the type of “drone” and sensors, you may not be able to hide.
All you need is Jim West’s wrist activated Derringer device.
A real one is probably illegal even if it worked or existed at all.
Pull!
Some basic techniques for confusing IR, Facial and Gait recognition SW/AI are in included in the article.
While you would not be completely impervious to detection, they’d have to really, really want your ass to find you.
Potato chip bag.
Better call Saul.
He’s got the best deals.
I made a phone wallet out of camo duct tape. Foil lined. Need to find it.
While you would not be completely impervious to detection, they’d have to really, really want your ass to find youUnless you can manage to never touch the ground of exhale.
Yea, I'm gonna call BS on that article. I tried this a while back. Went out for the day to run my errands with my cell phone wrapped in heavy duty Aluminum foil, two layers. Told the wife to call and text every 20 minutes. The phone never rang.
Got home two hours later, unwrapped the phone, and nothing. No texts, no missed calls nothing. Asked the wife if it ever went to voicemail and she said no. Just a dead line, no ringing, nothing.
Just for good measure I checked on Google where it shows where your phone has been and nothing there either.
I would just check each phone and see if you get similar results. (or a better grade of foil :-)
Exhale can be masked...mostly. It can also be diverted.
It can be hidden beneath a tree canopy.
Thoroughly in any environment that is 95deg +.
There are many micro environments that meet that threshold...

And, I wouldn’t doubt that...coming from Yahoo.
