TEXAS Representative Louie Gohmert has tested positive for coronavirus just before he was set to accompany Donald Trump on Air Force 1.
The 66-year-old tested positive in a pre-screen at the White House on Wednesday.
The eighth-term Republican attended the House Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday where Attorney General Bill Barr was quizzed by reps.
He was sat at the podium asking questions without wearing a face mask.
Gohmert previously told CNN that he was not wearing a covering as he was regularly being tested for the virus.
"[I]f I get it, you'll never see me without a mask," he said.

If you don’t have symptoms, what do you need to “recover” from? The positive test result?
Is everyone in the hearing room going to be quarantined for the next two weeks?

The hearing was on Tuesday. The test before the flight on Air Force One was on Wednesday. He must be asymptomatic or he would not have been preparing to go on Air Force One.

Not sure if there are trolls on here or people who don’t take the time to read. Gohmert was with Barr Tuesday. He tested positive Wednesday. He has done nothing reckless.

I, my wife, and my kids all had it. 2 kids were nearly symptom free, one got sick for a bout a week. I got very, very sick for 2 weeks, my wife was in the hospital for 8 days. But we all lived, so yeah, a minor cold.
