For a few minutes yesterday, a portion of POLITICO's profiles about Joe Biden's potential Vice President picks had Kamala Harris listed as the choice, including a quote from the announcement.

Being a mere born citizen is not sufficient. One must be a true natural born Citizen, that is a citizen by inherent nature, not by law or statute. Harris is merely a statutory born citizen who was born with citizenships in three countries and with divided allegiances among those countries. A natural born Citizen is born with sole allegiance to the USA, which is why the Constitution requires it of presidents and VPs.

If being a mere "born citizen" were enough then the Constitution would have stated that (that language was considered, but rejected in favor of the more restrictive natural born Citizen.)

And, by the way, the SCOTUS had never directly ruled on the definition of natural born Citizen.

On the plus side, we here at FR can only speculate when the "right time" to unleash hell on the Democrats and their Media is.

I suspect that it's a "don't fire till you see the whites of their eyes" thing - because the Media Rats can't be allowed time to recover from the point-blank barrage from our side.

Remember what happened in early October 2016 when the Rats and their Media dropped the Access Hollywood tapes, and the Left thought Trump was done.

Harris was born in the USA to alien parents who both were here on temporary visas at the time of her birth. She is merely a statutory born citizen, not a natural born Citizen as the Constitution requires. She is ineligible to become president or vice president (not that dems care about a little thing called the Constitution anymore - if they ever did).

I tend to agree although in his demented mind, Biden's impulses are based on how he remembered her from sometime before her recent bad plastic surgery.

What is the difference between a USA born citizen and a USA natural born Citizen? And why did the Founders put that more restrictive requirement (for presidents and VPs) into the Constitution?

Thanks. I’m 72. My father was born in Holland, and my mother was born in Canada. My Dad came to the U.S. in 1912 with his parents and two brothers. He was about 8 at the time. My mother came with her mother and older brother in around 1923-24. She was probably 3-4 years old at the time. My Dad was naturalized with his two brothers when their father became a citizen. His mother was dead by then. My mother never became a citizen although my Dad always pushed her to do so.

After obozo Citizenship requirements disappeared - for demo rats. Every challenge was beaten down, NOT on the merits but always for standing.

Someone could have been born in Moscow to Russian parents and moved here 5 years ago and if running for POTUS would not be able to be challenged for Citizenship, as a candidate nor POTUS or VP. It is a right without a remedy.

From the day she entered the race, I said she was just there to be the VP selection. She almost blew it by performing so awfully in the primaries, but once Biden promised a woman, it had to be her.

She's got the melanin and the vagina that were the only two real requirements for the role. After that, it was the fact that she's not as butt ugly as the remaining contenders.

Like they were ever really going to put Stacey Abrams on the ticket after the way she treated Rerun. Or ever considered Lightfoot after she tried to kill Karen Black.

My wife is a writer for her company. She does press releases every day. I can categorically tell you that not only are quotes pre-written, I can retell you that words from the President of her company have originated from my mouth as she was mulling over what to say.

All of this stuff is pre written. The actual quotes are then “confirmed” (Yeah, that sounds good) or they insert quotes from the person.

In this case, as they are with obituaries, the releases act as the first and second drafts of what is actually published. It saves time when principals may not be available.
