Rocker Neil Young said that he has changed his mind and is now considering suing President Donald Trump over the continued use of his 1989 hit single Rockin in the Free World at campaign rallies.
Neil Young said the reason he is considering is the presidents recent decision to deploy federal agents to urban areas in order to quell weeks of rioting and destruction. The musician described federal agents as thugs and said the rioting has been peaceful, despite the ample destruction to federal property and private businesses.
I am changing my mind about suing President Trump. Reconsidering. Im looking at it again, Young wrote in a post on his official site.

WTF?????????
I still don’t understand why Trump is using it. Has anybody associated with the campaign bothered to listen to the lyrics? It’s the exact opposite of rah rah.
What a punk.
Hell, it’s the only time his music is played!
As long as Trump pays ASCAP or BMI theres not much Neil hasnt done anything in 30 years Young can do about it.
Neil always had a tenuous grasp on reality when it came to the United States (Southern Man), but at least he was easy-going (complimented “Lynyrd Skynrd”). Now he’s and addled old man and unwilling to admit the possibility that he might be wrong.
Basically Trump can use it however he likes so long as he pays the proper licensing fees to ASCAP or BMI. Young does not have a leg to stand on here.
Awesome! Go ahead — sue a billionaire!
As long as royalties are being paid for use of the song, droopy drawers has no say.
Canadians who come down here to achieve professional success and then go on to deliver finger-wagging political lectures to us are a particular pet peeve of mine.
Needs to go back to his cowgirl in the sand...
Same old, same old... Didn’t Bruce Springsteen get upset about a Republican candidate using his song “Born in the USA?”
I am considering my next yuge bowel movement.
I think I will name it Neil Young.

Same goes for Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA”. Listen to the lyrics and it is not a pro-USA song IMO.
I wish he’d go down by the river.
