The Cancel Culture is now aiming its guns at a popular local restaurant in Stillwater, Oklahoma, because of its name Eskimo Joes. Eskimo Joes is a very successful local restaurant, founded in 1975, and has become quite well-known outside of the Sooner State.
Its iconic shirts, featuring a smiling Eskimo and his faithful dog, Bucky, are so popular that the company has a clothing store right next to the restaurant.
So what's the problem? A petition is circulating, attacking the restaurant for its name and its logo.

The restaurant is not the focal point of the owners business. It was at first. But then he started making T-shirts. The T-Shirts and other clothing with the logo are now his bread and butter. By a huge, huge margin. If he changes the logo...he loses hundreds of millions almost from the start. He will not drop the logo.
My chips on the bet is that the owner is in actuality, a Native American, like the majority of people in Oklahoma, and he will take this issue and tell them to shove it up their kazoo.
Let’s rename Scotch tape too, while we’re at it.
What? The racist nutjobs have something against eskimos?
We were there 5+ years ago to see the Zags play the Cowboys. Zag alumni office set up a pregame social at Joes, we had a ball. OK State fans are awesome.
White out ? black out ? Brown out ?
He must have lots of loyal patrons. They should show up en masse on a regular basis and run off any Antifas who try to disrupt.
Oh, and they should be packing.
Need to start canceling cancelers
Aye! We kenna hae that name on wee sticky bits!
I was in Pittsburgh area and came across a 7-Up brand called Cherikee Red with an Indian Chief of the label of red pop.
Of course I had to buy a bottle before it got cancelled
As a Scottish-American, I agree with you. And none of their tartans appear authentic. Cutural Appropriation at its finest!
This (alleged) story is actually kind of funny; (though you’ll find a less thrifty Scot than I nowhere):

Perception is starting to turn. Some students at the local college are voicing their concern, people who have lived in Oklahoma their whole lives are starting to recognize the problem, and newcomers to Oklahoma are horrified.
So some prog 'flakes crank out the latest trendy claim to be horridly offended.
Yeah.
I would request full identification of every name on the list, pop it into a spreadsheet on a laptop by the door and anyone on it is banned for life from entering lest they be so egregious traumatized by the hateful, racist, stereotyping logo that they would require immediate transportation to the nearest mental institution.
It's for their own safety.
.
Bunch of Ok State Aggies there..... I was in there once when I was in college. I thought I was gonna burst into flames. Boomer!
My wife & I are OKST alumni who went to Las Vegas for the holiday basketball tournament there with OSU playing a team I cant recall while your Zags played UNLV. My wife became a Zags fan that night, watching them every time they show up on TV. I won my bets on both games in the sports book, too.
As to Joes, the owner is not likely to pay any mind to the woke crowd.
LOL, that’s funny!
